kinda old thread but wth.....think of it this way if you beat on a concrete wall its not going to flex and the vibration noise u hear will be alot less than say, if u hit on a wooden wall in ur house, it will echo quite a bit, and if music if loud enough u could hear right through it... denser heavier material is going to block out more noise... this thread has made about 5 tangents from the original post anyway, lol +1

lol is this an illusiion? is it grey or tan, lol

yea get u some gasket glue for the cone.. and u can solder those wires back together, dont know how long they will last since it looks like it snapped at the joint... but u can recone it urself just get some order some tensil wire, pop off the cone and resolder the tensil parts back... and u can just be creative on how to have the connector fit back on there,

Ground wire length, how accurate is it?
djjdnap replied to shizzzon's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
dependin on the wire size all at 50ft 4awg-100A 2awg-200A 1awg-250A 1/0awg-350A 2/0awg-400A But u usually have a shorter ground due to noise getting into the lines aka ground loops and giving it less resistance since its going str8 to the amp.. so yea the longer wire would have more resistance takin away from ur DB'S -
lol, bigger isn't always better, im sure in that car unless ur competing u'll be fine wt an adequate sized box that u dont have to squeeze in there, lol

birch but its a lil more expensive
