You get your window issue taken care of?
-
For an '85 that was thrashed its in pretty good shape. Minor wiring and hose issues that have been corrected and the carb is leaking behind it, so I will have to pull it to find the issue. There are so many vacume hoses on this motor it is going to be a PITA...Oh well, I feel up to the challenge. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> git r done! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Will try

not a clue how about you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was going to go to Texas heatwave. Biggest USACi show next to finals. Instead I have to save my money and work on the car. I hope to have the carb off and rebuilt by sunday. That way I can install it by the time the air box arrives. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> good luck getting the car running pics, if you get the chance, please <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are pics of the car in the show off section. Motor pics I'll try and get tonight.

Its a 5.3l The reg cab 1/2 2 wheel drive doesnt have a very large towing capacity compared to a 4x4...UHAUL wouldnt even rent me a full size trailor. I had to always use a tow dolley.

I'll just buy one. I dont have access to a welder and I have no experience. My truck is a '02 Silverado Reg cab 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive.

Car is 1300lbs + 700-800 in equipment. I need a car trailor that my truck can also handle. I am going shopping for one asap.

Update: New starter battery New fuel filters (car has 2) New fuel lines New link fuses gas + fuel stabil New thermostat New oil cap Antifreeze Oil and filter Total of ~$130 Carberator is leaking gas behind the carb. It was dark so I couldn't tell if it was the gasket or something else. Should be a fairly quick and reasonably priced fix. Just scored a fully intact stock air intake for $40 on egay Getting some pics on a fully intact front bumper. I have friends who say they know where to get bumpers and fenders, so I may hold off on buying it. New total of $170 in parts...$100 in towing. I need to buy a trailor.

Lakes > rivers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Incorrect. Lakes worth wakeboaring on have tons of boats on them most of the time. Lakes have wind, rollers travle across lakes. The river isnt inhabited in the morning or in the evening, no wind so no chop, and rollers break on the banks so its always glass. Also, the river is shalow enough to construct sliders with ease and you dont have to make it floating (PITA). River > Lake <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Take a trip with me to Arkansas I grew up on lake ouachita...
