Take your time to make sure that you are matching the red to red, purple to purple, etc. I would solder all wire connections then tape them. -

Your headunit should have come with it's own plug. All you need to do is match the colors of your headunit wires to the wires on the plugs that fit your factory plugs. -

JL has been providing good products and service since I started car audio back in 1991. I have had many personal experiences with their equipment. Anybody remember the W5 series? My favorite for detailed sound.
