    Welcome to the IHoP

Ok, so I have been walking and jogging on a treadmill for the past 10 years. Yesterday I gave in to the wife and bought on of those elliptical machines. Spend an hour putting it together and moving my treadmill to the basement. I guess I am going to give that a try today and see if I can get a decent workout.

ALmost makes you wonder if he likes bose. Maybe I should not have posted the Oz picture, but it was funny. Honestly that is who he thinks he is. Back in 07 before I joined SSA a couple of guys I work with loved his videos. They were showing me these and then showing me his respones to their questions. Response not answer. He has been a bottle of snake oil since then. The guys at work came to their senses and moved on. Reason I joined SSA and talk to Scott and Nick about their line.

Funny you say this. At work we employ a lot of women and we have a saying, "there is a fat chick screaming to get out". Referring to women who buy clothes that my daughter should be wearing. She is 15 and 110lbs not 18-40 200lbs+.

Funny thing is, you can pop open 75% of the TVs on the market today and see Samsung and Sanyo components throughout. They are so mass produced they are inexpensive so they do a lot of rebadging, which helps others keep profits up.

This new building and LNI is going to be the death of me, I swear! I don't bitch about much, but these new building codes are bullshit! I know why many mom and pops go out of business.

With all the shared technology coming in tvs, the only thing to set them apart will be cosmetic differences. If anybody is wanting plasma, Panny is bringing some good panels this year. I was told even better than the VT panels.

What was the price point? That is the most pricey one at $680, that I found right now. I'd like to keep it around $600 or less. I would not spend that much for that line. Did you check sams club or costco? Just did and didn't see any of them they have a BX421 Sony and it looks like they lean heavier toward pushing Vizio and Philips and they have more of those models then anything else. At the right price they are both decent tvs.

With a good signal it is hard to see the differences until you get into the larger screens 55" and up. That is where you will notice flaws.

Not the best black levels (still okay, but definitely worse than some others), but excellent colours. Great for daytime viewing, wouldn't recommend it if it's going to be used primarily in the dark. Better off with a MVA/PVA LCD panel or a Plasma in that case, IMO. Any recommendations in the 600 dollar range? I've looked at a Samsung LN40D630 http://www.samsung.c.../LN40D630M3FXZA but at $650 its starting to stretch the budget a little bit. But if its worlds better I can spare the fifty bucks I guess. When you are talking panel size of 46" or smaller there are not many "junk" tv's out there. It really comes down to what you plan on doing with the tv. If you are viewing tv under normal conditions your first pick will be fine. If you are looking toward theater that is another story. It will be mainly normal viewing but will also use it as a monitor and htpc functions. Then either one will work fine. My personal preference would be the panny, but I am not a sammy fan though. Thank you, I have looked at sony's also but they keep changing their lineup and the one I liked is getting hard to get they are also on the more expensive side. Guess its time to go to the store again and look at the pictures. When is comes to LCD Sony is my choice, HX and XBR are the Sony lines to look at. Wasn't one of those lines, it was a EX500. What was the price point?

But if its worlds better I can spare the fifty bucks I guess. It has some issues with the motion smoothing and the colour out of the box is ridiculously overblown (my dad has the 46" model), but once you fix those in the settings, it's a great TV. Out of the box almost all tv's are set up for the "wow" factor. It is best to take the time to set any tv up for your style of viewing.
