Component wiring with 2 Channel Amp
nem replied to EPerez's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Passive crossovers don't highpass the mid, he would still need to actively highpass them. In this case, he would need to use the crossover in the amp to highpass the mids. Though he should research to find out what the crossover frequency is of that board. Sorry I guess I misunderstood. -
Are you going to post some pictures?

that is your concern?lol .... Neal, we need to talk.... lmao!!!

If you are going to use the crossovers that come with them, then set your amp to bypass. -
It all depends, but I expect worst case and hope for best case.

Alright after talking to several people I am going with the Excalibur rs-230dpb. This unit will work with the toyota fob and do what the wife needs it to do. Price installed by me and the local shop is under $200 so I am happy with that, plus they are there if I need them. The big plus is I am trying to help them get on the board for their audio comps.

No problem, I want to get the 5704, but it is PRICEY! I am looking at the 2304v. The price I can get it for is 135.00 currently. That's not bad at all, especially if you install it yourself. I just got off the phone with them and they told me I will loose one of the fobs. This system will work without any extras so I am still on the fence. I know there has to be a way to install this unit and use the toyota fob, but I am not authorized so he could not give me that information.

Welcome If you ordered on BF, I would expect it to ship after christmas. The build list is super long at the build house.

Julian I am waiting for Viper to get back to me. The unit I am looking at is not very pricey, but I will keep you in the loop. Thanks again.
