    loudest spl

depends the most on the enclosure large and tuned real low

    Increasing Power to woofers

if you want louder id first start with a custom box for them that should make them louder. then you can up the power are they plain or do they have bp option if plain stick to the 1000w if bp up it too 1200w each. the box is the most important part so do that first.

    Q18 600w

sounds a lot better in person but i need a much better front stage. i have the power 150wrms per channel, just need the money to get some good comps. ill probably get the cadence cvl6k set 95db sensitivity and handles 200wrms. i have the 5.25's for another setup im working on and i think they sound great. just need more money to finish that project, will have pics for that one.

    Will these fit?

nope you will need to custom something most likely cut a bigger hole or add another baffle made from mdf so that it fits in the hole

    Q18 600w

no im happy with the power its got now it breaks 140. i have used 1800w at a comp for a quick burp and did a 145.3 legal on the tl. ive gotta take the box out in a couple months anyway got a kid on the way and need room for the baby seat so ill probably switch it to a pair of tens with more power
  9. if you are having that severe of drops either something is loose or your alts on the way out. if the alt is going just get it rebuilt and have them increase its output to 180 if possible

    Small Sundown Build

id ditch the rear speakers and replace the fronts with a more efficent speaker and bridge the j/l to give the speakers some power. look into something like cdt hd-62 180wrms and have a much better sensitivity 92.6db vs 85.5db
  11. im wondering why he is having such a problem with only 1200w i could understand if it was being run at 2ohm but the amp will be most effiecient at 4ohm plus the output is less a 130 amp alt should be fine with 1200w. what size power wire are you using and where were you voltage readings at amp or battery and what are they at idle and full tilt in both locations

    fiberglass montero

you can also add a thining agent to the mix to slow the curing process and it helps if you have a cup to put the brush in so it lasts a couple batches. i think its acetone not sure its been a while
  13. did you do the swap and get some power
  14. wow in all this im surprised nobody offered the idea of a nice fiberglass or carbon fiber enclosure. they look incredible painted to match the car are very strong if done properly and the lightest enclosures you can make
  15. before spending money on saz1500d's try this rewire the subs to 2ohm per channel this should send them around 650w each and make the amps more efficent. the lower the resistance the lower the efficiency of any amp. even still you will be supporting 2600wrms so add the extra batterys this should help out a lot. i wouldnt bother switching to saz1500's because they will only be giving each woofer an additional 100w not noticeable. if you want cheap power get a ma 4000d wire all subs to it for a 2ohm load 900w a piece and its a more efficent amp than the 802sx

    Blown Fi 15" Q

sounds like the best bet is to get a dual 1ohm recone if possible and run the amp at 2ohm rated at less than the sub so a lot less chance of blowing it and if you want it louder get a second sub and wire to 1 ohm so they both see around 700w. i feed my q18 600wrms and it is very happy with it. also a new box may help to increase efficiency of sub to compensate for lower power.
  17. current draw yes but power wise no. the 802sx is rated at 2200wrms @ .5ohm x2 @ 17v so around 1800w per driver way more than they should take. even with them being loaded i wouldnt reccommend more than 1200w and that is pushing it.
  18. tuning frequency would reduce cone movement if that helps
  19. check the for sale section i saw 2 1 was 725 the other 730 they are great amps that will have more than enough power. you can even upgrade later to nightshades if you ever feel you need more
  20. how much you paying for each! for around 1400 you could pic up a pair of used saz3000d's much better amps

Need suggestions on 4 15's truck box

with a nice rectangle shape you can make the box 49w 22d 20h that will give great lowend

Need suggestions on 4 15's truck box

alignment wont make to much of a diffrence in a sealed box.
  23. are you talking about the new hcca-d5000 you said the hcca2500 even though its the hcca-d2400
  24. the hcca2500's only put out 1200wrms so the subs would only see 600 each the should be able to take 1k+ each as far as batterys get a couple hc2400's or d3100's for the back it should help a lot. a single blue top doesnt cut it in the back if trying to run 4k+.
  25. could you possibly test a lower tone whatever the box is tune to should give a lower impedence and possibly better output
