ever measured how much that amp actually puts out?
-
like trash lol, its all sony explodes, and its way louder in some places than others, lol, but im not too sure about in a bus but i play bass guitar and i had a downfire 15" and i playd in bars, apartments, houses, clubs, outside, and in little and big metal buildings (for practices) and it never failed me before, that is until the 15 blew at my last practice =-(

id love to but i dont have a camera, but i know that they are more long than big, its kinda like a slant as a box in the rounded corner, and the 10 in the middle, but im not sure about the whole strength thing as mentioned ^^^, also as far the whole sub idea, why dont you build a bar and hide the speakers in there, maybe downfired? not sure how good it would sound, but you could also put some like that under the seats maybe? just some ideas to help
-
why dont you put some 8's in some boxes and mount them in little boxes in various places along the top of the wall (like in the bend between the wall and roof) my bus driver, who is pretty cool im my case, was given 2 10"s by his son and put them mounted in the corners like that and put 6x9's in the front and 2 in the back, along with the 4" speakers that come in the top, haha so yea, my bus driver is pretty gangsta

my friend wants some subs for his dodge ram full cab, hes gettin a pro box for under his seat and 2 re se subs, he doesnt know many amp models and his price range is from 500-700 for everything and the box and subs would be about 350-400, anyone know a decent amp that would be 2 channel and put atleast 600 watts to each speaker and still meet his price range? -
ok, im not too knowledgable about staging so i didnt know, but thanks, and also, what would be the difference between the passive and active speakers?

if you want more sq id say the ssa icon or the fi q, but if you want more on the spl side id say a fi bl or a re sx, but thats if you want to stay in a low price range, either way they will all blow that l7 out the water

well if the sub is dual voicecoil you need dual 4 ohm (for explicityourself)
-
well by highs i mean the midbass, midrange, and the tweeters, what are the 5.25"s considered, and why shouldnt i put anything in the back?
-
haha, thats pretty bad ass, i always wanted to do one, but rushnrun, i play bass guitar and i just blew my 15 on my amp and i need a neww sub, would you be willing to sell another one, and if so, how much?
-
im pretty sure, but i dont have any rear doors, its called a super cab but its really just an extended cab, or maybe i could just make a fiberglass kick panel and just put some highs in the doors?
-

I know I have a car audio addiction when......

o ...when you constantly get out of your truck at red lights to look at your door and laugh at it flex ...when your in your friends car with no subs and you hum the bass line that no one else can hear ...when your friend cant fit in your vehicle because the box in the back is too big ...when you basically turn your electronics class at trade school into a car audio and four wheeler class ...when you try to build a band pass box for the first time so you can put it on the back of your 4 wheeler when you go mud riding so that the speaker doesnt get wet when you go under water ...when you break a finger trieng to put the biggest box possibke in your friends single cab truck ...when you can spot a cop a mile a way just to turn the bass down ...when you compete with your friends to see who can make more things fall over in the house from outside in your car using only your sub ... when you build a box in your girlfriends car and make it hidden so her or her parents dont take it out -

...when you buy a speaker to go in your truck when your truck is sittin on blocks ...when you put camouflage boat seats on a camouflage speaker box for it to "match" and so more than 2 people can fit inside your full size truck ...when you have 2 cvr 12's hooked up to a home sterio just for chits and giggles ...when you have enough speaker boxes to make temporary furniture out of them in your house
