-
Not yet, I will probably get it in the car on Tuesday.

1.8 ft^3 tuned to 33hz. This will be my first attempt at a kerffed port so we'll see how it goes : Not much to look at yet...

It's finally done!!! Just need to mount the sub and get it in the car : Painting... DONE!!! With sub...

I don't understand the question??? As long as the baffle is mounted to the enclosure on all side you should be good, probably a double baffle or plenty of bracing with those subs though. After all displacement. Also when using multiple ports the length given is for each port, not total. If you are only going to play music when the car is running then just fuse within 18' of each battery, then wire amps to 2nd battery like normal. If you are going to run the system with the car off I would suggest you get a battery isolator so you don't drain the starting battery. If you haven't ordered them yet get D2 coils and then you can strap the amps at 2ohms and get the power you want while keeping an even ammount of power to both subs. PM me or send me an email and I can do that for you... Titanium03g @ nycap.rr.com (remove spaces) Look around in the classifides for a decent used one. Hope that helped. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, so it's been slow going on this box. I've only been able to squeeze in a few min here and there but it's all starting to pay off. Priming/painting the port... Masking off the areas that will stay white... Filling in all the screw holes with a MDF dust/wood glue mixture... Sanded down all the screw holes as well as the joints in the wood... Priming for paint...

I got 4.228 ft^3 after port displacement before sub, tuned to 33.5hz

Sealed box for 2 12" Cerwin Vega Vmax subs. This is for a member on another forum, just thought I would post it here as well.
-
Newer ones IIRC, and it's gong behind the rear seats of a Hummer.

I'm building this for another forum member, it is 2.3 ft^3 tuned to 32hz for a Maw 15
-
Nothing a little super glue won't fix
-
Here it is.... Adaptor baffle so he can mount a 12" sub if he wants to.

Did you need tons of sound deadener in the trunk too? No, I actually didn't use much at all. Two layers on the outside door pannel and one on the inside door pannel. One layer on the trunk lid and one on the license plate.
-
How did it sound when the top was down? did the trunk rattle too bad? No, it sounded good, I had a pretty beefy front stage though.
-
I used to have a 97 Eclipse Spyder GS-T I would sugest a good pair of 8' midbass in the front doors (I had JL 8IB4's) to help up front. I ran 1 Eclipse Alum 15 sealed in the trunk off an RF Power 1100a2 and hit a 138.8 at the dash. The only problem with rattling I couldn't get rid of was where the top met the trunk when the top was up.

They have a handy calculator that will help you figure out your port length too. With 8 cubes a couple of 6" aero's should work well, or a bunch of 4" Just remember, if you use their calculator for more than one port each port needs to be the length they give you.

This is a build for someone on another forum but I thought I'd post it here also. Boz is for an OZ Audio ME10 it is 1.25 ft^3 net tuned to 34hz using a 3" Aero. It will be double baffled. flush mount with an amp rack on top for an Autotek XS-900.4 Design, the amp rack was a late addition . Wood all cut Building...

It's done!!!! This is not the sub that is going in it, i just used it for pics.

Im 10 min from albany in schodack Cool deal, maybe I'll see one of your builds someday WOW, locals I'm about an hour north of Albany in Lake George.
-
Box is *almost* done. Just need to cut the aero to length and install and install the speaker terminal.
-
Got a little more done Kerfs came out OK for my first time I think

I used Rust-oleum primer and paint You need to make sure you prime the MDF before painting. The surface of the MDF isn't as bad but the cut ends will really suck up the paint so priming it will save you a lot of time and paint.

Small update Primed trim pannel 1st coat of paint on trim pannel

You'd be surprised what your packages go throuh before they get to you. I work in a wharehouse for a big name retail store and it's amazing more things don't get broken. It's not exactly the same system UPS and other shipping companies use, but very similar.
