Debating to get BP Power or not with a Q

i'm wondering the same thing 12" q on a hifonics 1608d, but gains will be set conservatively

    FI.BTL

the thing i understand about the hifonics amps is the rated rms watts are at 14.4v, so keep that in mind. that being said i think that as long as you know what youre doing with enclosure, gains, etc you should be safe dont just go ahead and order based on what i just said tho, i'm only giving an opinion from my NOOB point of view. someone please back me up, or correct me if i'm wrong. one thing i know for almost sure tho, is you are going to have a rather tough time getting the rated rms out of the hifonics stuff. its possible, but tough.

    Same question..different person

i'm getting pretty antsy myself waiting for the q's LOL 12" ssd w/ bp power/copper coil is lookin reall good right now, but idk if its gonna suit me right. i listen to 50/50 metal/rap and therefore i want something that will hit the double bass accurately, which is why i want the q. but i have the enclosure done, amp (hifonics bxi 1606d) ordered, and hu installed... meh i'm done lol

    12" Q on hifonics 1606d?

do you think i'll need the bp power option? and random offshoot. stinger 4ga will be ok i think. is that right? idk if the amp will even give up to 1400w anyway

    12" Q on hifonics 1606d?

cool. thats what i was thinking. i originally was going to buy the 1206 but it turned out to be more expensive so i figured if i ever upgrade drivers i'll have the power to give. thx

    quick copper coils question

yes, i searched. my sincere apologies if someone has asked this before. i am planning on buying a single 12" D2 SSD or Q... which one is yet to be decided the amp is a hifonics 1206d, an alleged 1200w rms but closer to 900-1k probably. stock electrical + big three already built the box, ported 2.25cubes@34hz so.... i want to make sure the sub sounds good, i know both of them will get plenty loud for my tastes, but my main question is, if i get the copper coils does that reduce the rms rating of the sub? do the CC's really make taht big of an SQ difference? the reason i'm asking, is becasue the FW coils improve the power handling at the expense of some SQ, so i didnt know if the CC's improve SQ at the expense of power handling. thanks for your time edit: this was intended for the "Fi Products" subforum... oh well

    quick copper coils question

hey when do you guys think the q will b available again? and would the 1206 be underpowering the q too much?

    quick copper coils question

biltd, i know what the options do lol, just not how they affect the rms. thx tho thast what i wanted to know... thank you! looks like an ssd w/ copper coil for me, sounds like a solid daily driver to me, and it fits my budget better. thx
