thanks man, really, what kind of power you putting to them? I was hoping you would chime in as I knew you were running these from another forum. One more question though, I have a 40.1 right now and I want to sell it because I really dont do any competing and need something more suitable for daily. I was looking at either the SAZ-3000D or US AMPS AX3200DE? Seem like good choices? And on these subs, is the motor strength decreased any? I have heard that the old btl's with the chamfered pole had a weaker motor structure and I am wandering if this is the case with these or has the motor on them been revamped like on the new btl's?

What's up nick! How's my amp comming? (Howard) Could you pm me your best price on the two DP's and repair on the amp? I'm going to pay for it all at once... I already have a box built for two 15's that will work perfect for these so I'm going with the DP's!

I will be powering these with a 40.1 once I get it back from Nick, my question is, which will be a better setup for daily? I'm looking for SQPL as I don't want to be limited to only SPL. I've heard that the DP's are good daily subs but the DR's are good daily subs also. Either will be in the recommended enclosure and tuned to 30hz for the lows. So what do you all think will be a better daily combo? thanks

Ok guys I need a little input on a few things. First off, I was running two FI Q 15's off of a 40.1 @ 1 ohm in a 8cuft box ported to 28hz and blew one to hell and the other one's coil is burnt like a motha... So I was thinking of going with either one 18 BTL or two 15 BTL's off of the 40.1 @ 1 ohm. What do you think? Either setup will be tuned to 32hz. I was planning on modifying the current box if I go the 15 route, but if I go with the 18, the box will be around 7.5~8 cuft tuned to 32hz. This will be a daily driver setup.

Ok I am thinking about purchasing two DP 15's but don't know exactly which coil config. I should go with. Will the amp be strong enough for these at 1 ohm or should I get dual 2's and run the amp at .5? Thanks in advance for the help... Oh, btw, this is for a daily application that will be tuned to 30hz.

I know, that's why I was asking if it would be ok to run it at 1 ohm or not, but at the same time, I am looking to gain output.

Hello, I have a 40.1 that I purchased used and it played fine when I got it up until now. I played it for a long period of time with the car not running but I wasn't playing it loud. The amp goes straight into protect mode now and there was smoke coming out of it around the terminal blocks where the power and ground connect to the amp so I guess that the power supply is blown. Could you please give me a price quote on the repair and also send me the shipping address and the paypal information for the payment. Thanks in advance.

I have dual runs of 1/0 from the front battery which is a redtop and two yellowtops in the rear and stock alternator. It probably would have been ok but It played for like 4 hours with the car off. I thought It would be alright because I was playing it on low volume at 2 ohm load.

all depends on what you're trying to do, but yeah they're decent..I'd rather have a pair of cvr's though if I was looking for something in that category...

Ok I read the options page and I understand it pretty well. My question is I know I need to get one of the cooling options on the sub but which one? The sub will be used for daily. If I go with cooling, the strength of the motor will be reduced but if I g with just teh p/chamfer option, will it be enough to keep things under control? I really don't want to loose any structural integrity inside the motor if I don't have to. And the inner heat sink? I don't quite understand that one what is it for, and do I need it? So the options that I think I need are: p/chamfer, hi xmax coil, daily, universal? Would these options be what Ineed for daily 2k+ rms? thanks

Yeah i read it and all, it's just not as thurough as I was looking for. I mean, when you spend your money, you want to know exactly what your paying for and that it is exactly what you want and will do exactly what you want it to do.. Hey bj, still interested in those q motors and baskets? lol I put the IA on them and burnt the coils...

Which subs will be best for a loud/daily combo off of about 4k watts per pair? I'm going to be tuned around 28~30hz and want it to be stupid loud! My amp is IA 40.1 and I have 8 cubes net to work with. Thanks
