2 ohms definitely. A 3000d can take .5 ohm, but there's no way that MT would hold up for DD. 2 ohms and it should be around 1500 watts to the MT.

Gotcha. As soon as he gets the quote, we'll let you know.

A buddy's Eclipse 10" has blown. It's this one if im not mistaken: LINK Can Fi do a recone on this? If he wanted it reconed to a 12 or 15 Im guessing he'd need a new basket?
-
You wouldnt want it. It's ripped. That's basically why it needs a recone. He's put all sorts of glue and crap on it to try and seal it. Looks like chit basically lol.
-
Im guessing you're in Louisiana? I might sell you my 12" and box if interested.
-
I've got a 12" Icon currently and I love the sub, but now I want to go bigger. Im doubtful that you guys have an 18" recone but I figured I'd ask.
-
If you love your Icon, and want an 18, look at a Fi Q 18 or Mach5 IXL 18. Don't take a step back in clarity. Yeah Ive been thinking about the Q also. It might be the route I go especially if I can find a used one for a good deal.
-
Yeah I think Im going to just have to sell it and ill probably go with an AQ HDC3. So much for SQ... Not really looking for SQ, which is why Im opting for an 18...

I love my 12" Icon. I just wish it were an 18 now so im probably going to sell it and go with an AQ HDC3.

So i'm currently running a 12" Icon and while it's an awesome sub, Im wanting to go bigger already. I just want to push a lot more air. I'm pretty set on an 18" Fi BL or maybe 2 18" Q's. I'm wanting to feed it more power though also so Im thinking of either buying another 1000D and strapping them together, or selling my 1000D and picking up a 3000D. Would that be overkill? Ive got an Eddie Bauer Explorer(v8) and already have the Big 3 upgrade. I'll be picking up an Iraggi alt. and a Yellow Top as well. Would I need to run two batteries with this setup?

Hifonics XX-Maxximus Vs. Kicker Warhorse WX10000.1 (What would you pic
Matt2105 replied to lamchop_8's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Neither. 4 Sundown 3000Ds. 12000watts for less than the price of the Hifonics, and those arent crap. -
Happy bday and thanks for doin what you do!

Ive got a 12" Icon in around 2.25ft^3 ported and it hits pretty hard. I'd like to mic it someday just to see how many db's it actually hits. Ive gotten used to it though so two 18s are next.

I drive an Eddie Bauer Explorer and just recently added a 12" Icon and Sundown 1000D to it. It had the Mach Audio system in it already. Well with the added bass, the speakers just can't keep up. They were fine with the factory 8" sub but are too weak now. Here's the thing, since it had the premium sound, I can fit 6x8s in my front and rear doors. I listen to mostly metal and rock with a little bit of rap. I'd say like 80/20 rock vs rap. Should I put 6x8s in the doors for extra midbass or should I just use 6.5s? Also, Ill be staying passive on these as SQ isnt a huge priority. Just trying to get more volume on the treble side.
-
It already has an aftermarket HU in it. I should have stated that I guess. It comes with 5 1/4" stock with a small tweeter next to it. I could throw 6x8s or 5.25s in it easily. Id need adapters for 6.5s.

Nice. How much would that run without the plexi?
-
Springfield, HK, and Sig. 3 of my favs though the last 2 can get pricey. Really, you just need to go to a store and hold a few. Buy the one that fits your hand. Comfort is the most important thing when buying a handgun imo. Calibers up to you. 9mm rounds will be the cheapest but will lack the power of the .45. The .40 is kind of a best of both worlds. You get more power than the 9mm, and more capacity than the .45.
-
Im pretty certain hifonics doesnt produce 100% of the power they claim so if you keep the gains low you should be fine.

Whats the best sub out there at the moment.

No such thing. Any of the vendors on here make good stuff. If you're looking for a lot of watts, I'd look at Mach5's SPL12. -

A friend of mine has it. It works lol. IMO, it's cheap. But, he hasnt had any problems out of it. Everything works like it's supposed to. I cant really say how "good" it is though. If you're on a budget and just have to have a flip out screen, I guess it'd be alright. I'd probably pony up a little extra for a Pioneer or Alpine though. -
Eh, there's always a delay when stuff first comes out. All good things come to those who wait. Make sure you make a build log when you get them in as I'd love to see and read about it. It's gonna be a beast.
-
just curious did you order any? Sure didnt. Went with SSA. You're going to have awesome subs. They'll be worth the wait. No need to hassle them everyday.

Wow. Ive never seen people complain so much before. You cant overnight quality.
