Those MTX's look like they are about as old as my Rockford Fosgate 12" RFA-124's.

I can 110% agree with you on that. I like Diamond Audio and Image Dynamics but, his team deal that we get from him is not what i would call, worth it. I dont think im gonna support Rich and his shop much longer. Hes been getting on my case about why im not scoring loud, cutting down some of my friends (IE James Hegemann, the one that biult my last box) and just his overall racist attitude. I just picked up an RE XXX 12" for $150 and when i told him I have my sub for next year he asked "what is it?" I told him and then hes like "oh, its cheap then if you got it for only $150 or its blown" So for now im gonna be looking for another place to store my stuff at. Once i do that, rich will no longer be my place to shop for car audio. I think i do better without him and find better deals on my own. I do not wanna lose touch with you though, You're a pretty cool guy just not around a whole lot. Rich bad mouthed 1 too many friends of mine so at this point, id rather not deal with him. Right now dont go telling him this......i dont wanna deal with this situation right now. I wont bring up anything to him about your plans either. P.S. Hifonics amps do not putout almost 500-1000 watts more then their rated power even IF you run it below the rated ohm load. Ok, your on the right track. 1, upgrade all the wire. 2, add a 2nd battery to help with the current demand 3, upgrade the alternator with 1 that is about 165-190A output. Once you do all that, your amp should see the 14 volts all day long and you wont see any voltage problems later on even if you decide to upgrade to more power.

Diamond Audio is a really nice product. I second the RE XXX sub. I just picked up mine today (with the aid of a fork truck), looks very promising. Although im using mine for SQ and not SPL. Just a note, The xxx 12" weighs AT LEAST 60 pounds. I could not beleive the weight of it, heavier then my DD 9515!!

Sorry, been a little busy with things. New G/F which has been taking up time. Not that im complaining because if i wanted to do car audio full time and serious like i was 2 years ago, she would support me so its all cool. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. As for the ID SPL's I would be interested but for the lame fact of me being broke and just about jobless, I cant even think about the purchase of them. I would love to buy them if i wasnt losing my job. I do appreciate the offer though. B)

Well, as the topic says. I am new to the forum but not to the life style of car audio and the addiction. I hope to be of contribution to the forums and will help out to any advice, question, or problem at hand. As long as its within my knowledge. I dont know everything about car audio and I never portray that i do. If i know something I will post it, if I dont, then ill direct that person to someone who might be able to help. I've been around car audio for a little over 8 years, seriously competing for the last 3 years, holding 1 IL State record in MECA last year in 2003. Class was Amature Stock 3 with the score of 149.6db with 1200 RMS watts and a single 15" Digital Dedisgns 9515D. Not bad i think, its the highest score in the state of IL in AS3 in the history of MECA SPL Competition since MECA comps have been held in IL.

Sounds cool to me, just have to post a topic about it in a few months. See how much of an interest there is. I love car audio as a hobby and I love to share any opinions or help anyone if i can. Car Audio is basically just a hobby that if i can get to it cool if not, no big deal. I cant afford to keep buying system after system and not get any louder then a 149.6db. My personal high SPL is a 151.2db at a USACi outlaw show 2 years ago. Since then my highest has been only a 145.6db with a single Orion H2 and Hifonics XX-Hercules (2000 watts @ 1ohm). Those are some of the 1st pictures ive seen of the new beast. I am impressed with the paint job alone!! I somehow expected that paint scheme. Looking at the Sound Quality car of Mark's regal?? Seems just right to have the Bronco with a similar eye poping scheme.

As he said. I have ran the MTX 81000D at 1 ohm for months on end and never had a problem. It gets a little hotter then usual and easier to clip (just like the JBL 1200.1) but it was fine. My MTX 81000D only fried on me because of a really bad voltage drop in the middle of a burp at meca world finals last year. Expensive weekend for me that year.
