Have you heard what 15s sound like? Its different from your 10", you might want to hear them first. I went from a 13 to 2 15s and the sound is totally different.

i was originally running a jl13w1v2-4 in the jl box with about 200-400 watts, i really enjoyed the sq of it, it just wasnt loud enough, so i decided to go for the BL i got mine shipped withing 5 days, im running each off of a kicker 1000.1, got them boxed up last friday im pretty sure they may b underpowered, the box is tuned to about 34hz, and they r f'ing loud, but they dont hit on the low ends. maybe i need to break them in, but most of the music i listen to doesnt sound as great as it used to throw it up(lil jon n pastor troy) it kinda sounds like its burping, not continuous(again, i believe lack of power from the amps) now game over(lil flip) it bumps and its pretty good i also dled some test tones off of jensens website, and it sounds good. I believe it may b a power issue. so as of right now, given a 2nd chance, i would have done Qs. I'll probably come back and tell you differently once i get more juice to them, what do the rest of you guys think, do i need more power? sp wise, yes i got more than i actaully expected

hey guys, im gettin either 1 or 2 amps, here are my options, 1 of these bridged http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12212_...+BXi+2608D.html or 2 of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12210_...+BXi+1208D.html these are mono d class amps, now the bridging of the single amp is my concern, i ordered dual 1 of the BLs, would this diagram work? the subs are 1 ohm correct? so would this diagram still be somewhat valid? and if this does work, how would i design the box, because currently im planning to separate the chambers, unless one of you can direct me in the right way or i can jsut get the 2 smaller amps

k, how bout 2 KICKER ZX1000.1? you think they are reliable on their 1000w RMS rating? found 2 on ebay for like 20$ cheaper each than the bxi1608d.

k, i got a question, im getting ready to order my amp(s) and im considering getting 2 bxi 1608d, which would give 1100w RMS at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12211_...+BXi+1608D.html i have the dual1 on the BLs, i was told i could only wire each at .5 or 2 ohms, or join them together and get 1 or 4 ohms? so i decided to take the "Easier" way and choose 2 amps, 1 per sub i am confused as to which would be the correct way f wiring these so the correct way to wire this would be option 2 since its a 2ohm load, but it says the woofer is 4ohms(crutchfield) but then the rockford has the 2ohm woofer at 1 ohm anf both diagrams are the same? so wat ohms would a dual1 be? 1) 2) lol im getting closer to ordering my amp(s)

crunch? i heard they were the crappier brands under the maxxsonics deal thingy, that hifonics was better than them cause the crunch amps are pretty cheap, a 2500w costs like 200 on sonicelectronix lol i dunno wat i should do, cause i dont want to drop a whole lot on the amp(wanna keep it 550 total) lol and thx on the wiring diagram confirmation

hey, im ordering 2 BLs, i kinda have a design for a box, but need some help since this will be my first attempt at making one here is my plan i got a question on the length to the second port, i used the re enclosure so it game the the first, but does the second port wood need to be directly or close to the center of the subwoofer? and to separate the 2 woofers, do i need 2 pieces of wood or jsut 1? thanx

k, thx, so from the detail in that post, the port should be from top to bottom minus the width of the bottom and top board also, to make it for 2 woofers, do i jsut mirror along the right side? now the second part of the port, does it need to be lined up to the center of the subwoofer? ur box is wider than mine so im pretty sure this port should be different? quick picture

i have 46 wide x 48 deep x i think 36 tall,(back of a tahoe) but i would like it around 40ish wide x 24deep x 18-24tall so i can still use my rear view mirror lol and the awg of the wire, i believe its 2? its a 400 watts amp powering a JL 13w1 and its 200w rms so it should be 2 right? if not i guess i can try to look at it lol but im pretty sure im wrong and im not sure how i would be able to determine that, but here's the amp i have http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/ampli...thunder3401.cfm thx for ur help

I tried that a few times, but there was more than once that it gave me the wrong info. . .be sure to manually check it once you have the design. Brian nice app, question tho, what do i do about the port size? what would be the most efficient dimensions? k 1 question partially down ,2 remaining is amp suitable can i use the old cables, ie, just remove my old amp and hookup the new one? thx

I have the same question, not tryin to hijack his thread tho, but here's my situation, i want to get 2 15" BLs, in a ported box. The area I would like to restrict it to is 24h 40-45w and 20d I would like to run them both off of this amp, will this work? I was told that they should be in dual 1 . http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12120_...+BXi+2008D.html also, could i just use the old ground wire (or w/e, basically, i already have an amp setup, but its not enough power for the 2 of these, can i just use the old wires that are runniong to my battery i guess?)
