I'll be there at 10:00 MST!

Nevermind I just saw your component sale
-
You sold the Evo Casey?

Thermal, because 99% of the power put through the voice coil is wasted as heat. It's very easy to mechanically control a speaker.

I removed your duplicate thread.

The N1 specs closer to the Q, the N2 is the equivalent of the Generation 2. "Low lows" are enclosure dependent 95% of the time

Help choosing sub replacement for 2 JL 12W0
Duran replied to lildragon45's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I say a Fi SSD. -
A Q coil, and a ultra low inductance coil as well. The low inductance coil will really kill thermal power handling though...but this is being targeted towards SQish applications. Who said SQ needs high power handling?

Won't hurt anything

This is what I do as well, it's the only surefire way to know that you are getting the least resistance. OP I noticed you did 2 1/0 runs on the positive, but did you do two 1/0 chassis grounds when you did the big 3? The ground is just as important as the positive. Tomorrow i'm going to go through everything and double up where its not. I'm prepping for the up coming show. Wouldn't that be the same as grounding straight to the frame though or is grounding to the batt better? It is, but my battery is closer than my frame
-
I ground to the battery, the batter is grounded to the frame, no worries that way

wire length is fine, if you want to shorten it go for it, I doubt you'll notice any difference.
-
I moved your repeat thread.

What coils are planned? Q coils or smaller?

Great lookin' Sean!

The amp won't blow the subwoofers, the nut behind the volume knob will

You got that from my FaceBook huh!

Knukonceptz or Welding Supplies?
Duran replied to slim142's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Not exactly, even if you take that into consideration, strand count only matters for flexibility, and welding cable is still just as flexable. -
Knukonceptz or Welding Supplies?
Duran replied to slim142's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Welding cable is OFC, while the cheaper Knu wire is CCA, the most expensive Knu is OFC, but it's about $3.50/foot where most welding cable is arounf $2.50/foot, the only difference is the jacket. Here is the thread comparing the two: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=forums§ion=findpost&pid=685837 -

Help us Welcome DURAN to the MOD team
Duran replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in News, Announcements, and Lobby
That's the best I got...... That was actually really good -
There is no sense in using maximum possible amp power, make the system more efficient and you won't need it.
