Cone area always wins, granted the conditions are the same. You would be lucky to get a clean 2000 watts, or close to 2000 watts at that matter, out Hifoncs. Look around more *cough* Sundown *cough*! cone area does not allways win. Granted power and enclosure are the same, theoretically cone area should win but all conditions cannot be the same every time, leaning towards one side or the other.
-
The MD-3D would be good to them, You will be running it at 1 ohm so you really need a stout electrical, you will need a pretty hefty second battery, I recommend Stinger Power^2 cells. But that's just me.
-
It depends though, theoretically if you had the BL's in a sealed box and the BTL in a ported box with the same power they would be very close to the same on a meter. It's not just the power, it's the quality of the signal it sends out. Just look for a legitimate brand out there, there are plenty!

What are you going to be using for power? Is your electrical up to par?

In with the new... I got some Dynamat too... The Kicker KX350.4... The KS 6.5" 2 way door speakers... The KS 3 way 6x9's... And now the big boy sundown SAZ 3000D that will be powering the BTL... I will have more photos when i get the BTL, and the batteries! Enjoy!

Whats with all the haters? You guys think I didn't look around? I was set on getting a Flip-up, but with the way my car is it wouldn't work. whats the deal guys? I haven't had ANY problems with it, and I haven't heard of anyone having problems with theirs. I know it's not the best brand out there, but I'm a high school kid with a minimum wage job, bare with me. I was cool at first, with people telling me to get a different HU, but now I'm insulted. Don't come onto my build log and say stuff like that, you can give all the advice you want, but give up on the HU, it is installed and I'm not changing my mind.
-
The only reason I got it for free was because I won Car Wars and a $250 gift card at a local shop, so I pretty much just paid sales tax. I'm really liking it so far, the picture is astounding, and the level of available integration is unbelievable. With the Kenwood I used an FM transmitter with my iPod, now my iPod is integrated into the HU, I love it!

That is true, where he is using 1000 watts the inductance will be manageable. But you do need a lot of airspace too, and it is designed for infinite baffle, so good luck with that!
-
Why not? As long as the inductance is kept reasonable... Well, its possible, but not very practical in my opinion.

Let me get this straight, you want to use an 18" for SQ?
