Why is that? With reversed polarity? -
Sealed box, Common or separate chambers?
Duran replied to fritosaregood's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Separate them if you are running sealed. -
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have big dreams of breaking 150 dB with this, as I said, amp is a Sundown SAZ 3000D at 1 ohm, do you think its possible with 12"s?
-
It's very real.
-
HAHA, me too. I'm still waiting for me new SAX 100.4, c'mon factory!!!!
-
It is rated 2000 watts RMS at 1 ohm!
-
Have you taken a 15" SSD into consideration?

No chit.... Tech fans have a reputation for tearing their own stadium up. That's a cool way to raise tuition... I'm pretty sure with the 8-10 times that #1/#2 got beat last year the field was never stormed. Storming the field is something chitty teams do when they know it will be impossible for them to achieve more, maybe their smarter than I thought? My city is home to the 8th biggest sports rivalry in the US, I attend one of the rival high schools. The rivalry started when my school was built and we started sharing the stadium with Idaho Falls High School and the winner of the game, called the Emotion Bowl, paints the goal posts their school colors, sadly they have been orange for the past 2 years, no blue this year

I haven't had them but I hear they are good drivers, they get pretty hot though.

We would all love to help you! Just calm down a little, be patient. Also, please stop making so many threads. -
GET THE 2 BL'S MAN! THEY WILL BE CRAZY LOUD MAN! YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOUT TO TALK TO PEOPLE IN THERE! <---Now how dumb did that sound? How can we take you seriously if you are shouting over the internet?

Well since I can't fit 15"s, could we tweak the box for an 18"? Like a BTL, I think $499 is more affordable anyways. 5-9 cubes.

Well I'm just getting technical on you. LOL

Regular vs Slim subs also General Box Size questions
Duran replied to dlink's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Slim subs are meant to be smaller to conserve space, ie small sealed boxes. NO PORTED! -
That's what I meant in my above post. I wasn't doubting you . He just asked again as if he either missed it or didn't understand. Yeah I was saying that cause I didn't think stuartgoodenough read my post.

Okay, now you need to box those up and ship them to me

That is actually incorrect. Regulated power supplies routinely double rated power for every halve in impedence. What regulated power supplies do is provide a constant output no matter what the input voltage is. So that JL 1000/1 is going to put out 1000 watts no matter if your car's voltage is at 14, 12, 10, etc. It will just pull more current when the voltage is low to keep the output power the same. An unregulated power supply, on the other hand, changes output power in relation to input voltage. So that memphis may put out 900 watts at 10 volts, 950 at 12 volts, and 1000 at 14 volts. I stand corrected then To get even more specific, it does 1000 watts between 1.5 and 4 ohms, and between 11 and 14.4 volts. It's called the R.I.P.S. system, and that stands for REGULATED Intelligent Power Supply. Technically you were both wrong

That drops you out of the ported pair of 15's internal volume range. I don't know why, but I suddenly hate my car! I know what you mean I'm not to fond of my car either, what kind of car do you have again I know you said a sedan but what exactly. 1999 Dodge Stratus

I might get around to it, it depends on how much I get paid this week, I'm supposed to buy some batteries on Saturday.
-
Don't do that unless you have a monoblock, or one that has 2 outputs but is internally bridged. DO NOT do that with a 2 channel, meaning don't have one channel running one voice coil and the other channel running the other voice coil.
