Electrical Upgrades for my System necessary?
Duran replied to faezich's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Birthsheets mean completely nothing. Bladeice is a member on here, give it a try. Most 1/0 gauge is the same, welding cable is just as good. thats what I'm using really? Birthsheets mean nothing? How so? An amplifier is made on an assembly line, lets say 200 are made in one run. They pick one to test, they will test it at 14.4 volts (most cars cannot even et close to 14.4) and then print the birthsheets for those 200 amps. wow thats as gay as it can possibly be...... So the only real way to find out is to use a clamp or something? Exactly. -

Ever wonder why Sundown doesn't? Because Jake won't mislead you my printing an absurd number on a piece of paper and saying it will put out that much power in your car. -
We need more info to help you, whats your amp, electrical, enclosure.

It won't matter for a sub amp. Point is they lie they feed bs into the car audio world. And that box design looks good. I knew what you were getting at, I was just putting it out there.

What do you guys think?

wow GREAT CHOICE ON AMP!! im guessing he thinks it puts out 5500 huh? I highly doubt that amp will even produce 2000 It is rated for 3200 at 1 ohm.

Alpine, Kicker, or Sundown will do you right. All three will give underrated power and a clean signal, they are similarly priced, but Jake will take care of you if you should have any problems with the amp. Sundown gets my vote too.

There is no need to reverse polarity in a common chamber.

Looks sick, throw that on a meter!

I told him he will need too, but he doesn't have anything set in stone.

I need to finish my front stage, my tweeter sails are still not done, damn cold weather. If it warms up somewhat I will finish the sails and assemble my back seat and finally mount my SAX-100.4. I got some glass matte and bodyfiller to finish up the last little bit. The "friend" is getting a Power Acoustik BAMF5500D

have you thought about a 12" Nightshade with an SAE-1200D?
-
No he wasn't...I live about 60 miles fro him.
-
You will void your factory warranty if you install an amplifier.
-
All of them will be wanting to know where you got your sub's and amp once they hear it. Just a matter of time Yeah a single 'shade in a small sealed box with 500 watts was insanely loud.

lol 5-10 cuft is what Fi says. If you think its too big, what how big would you build it? it is on the biggish side but Im sure it will work fine. how about putting a vid and some pics up. Biggish side? No that should be perfect, be sure to set your SSF so you don't unload it in that airspace. Have fun blowing those eardrums where should i set my ssf Your sub sonic filter, set it about 25 Hz.

Denim and I are on the same page, if you take a big driver, and but it in a small box, you will get small sound. Figure how much space you have to work with including your port, and choose the driver accordingly.
