You have to have a True-RMS meter to do that. Just multiply volts x amps = watts

No kidding, never heard anything like it before. I'm going to keep a close eye on it. Maybe have a thorough look through my whole car. Is it random popping? I have heard a clicking noise coming from speakers when you increase and decrease volume, the HU was decreasing output voltage too rapidly and causing gaps in the signal.

No, it was playing for a couple minutes at about a quarter to a thurd volume and started poppling a little. I don't think the amps were in protect. Check the HU, all the wires, output voltage, everything.
