The "X"con 12" prototype has arrived
Duran replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
The Q and Icon are more so in the same general area. yeah i knew that but i asked how the Q comparers to it because i heard it is basically like a Icon on steroids which would be like a Q on steroids... right? im looking to upgrading in the future and instead of going to a 18 Q" i might just go to a 18" Xcon if its like a Q, but better... I mean it handles 1750 watts... hits lows like the Icon (which should be like the Q) and is a SQ oriented sub... sounds almost like my dream sub. I think you mean the ICON is a Q on steroids, and the XCON is like the ICON on steroids. If so then yes it is. -
Yeah, MSRP is $799, and $599 from the shop.

You actually tried it? It's 16,000,000 Scoville units??? What was it like?

-
Not anymore and btw sauce's like Dave's are synthetic and hotter than natural peppers. Oh? What took it's place?
-
Just eat a whole Habanero chili, it's only the hottest pepper in the world

excuse me?...Are you talking about me? Yep, I guarantee you have NO idea what even 140dB sounds like at 1,000Hz Few people will ever hear 125+ on a front stage, you know that Sean.

Audiopipe woofers are mediocre, pretty good quality. I hate the use of aluminum cones though.

http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/DD_woofers.asp?series=Z Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe someone was burping one of these with 36,000watts. I thought it was 28,000 watts RMS, burped my Alan Dante. I may stand correctly. You are probably correct. I only stated what I knew, both of us could be correct. I believe he scored a 180.3 with it.

This is more of what I was asking about. Conversing in the IHOP is great, but clicking the post button as many times as possible I just don't get. I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are. I've been trolling 3 different forums for a couple months now learning how to fiberglass. I've only posted once, but for the most part, ALL of the information is there. I seriously think there should be a "meeting" to discuss a little lengthier new member process. Even appoint a small committee to take care of new member activation and registration. I am a bit of a post whore but I learned how to fiberglass from reading on here aswell.

One of the many companies on here will sell you a blank dustcap, just a 5-minute epoxy from SEARS.
-
The Q doesn't have enough motor force for a 22" cone, only the BL and BTL can push it.
-
Holy window flex batman! It's about to sheer off!
-
That dustcap isn't dented its totally shattered! You sir are deadly with a remote

Finally back guys. Utah was good, I was visiting Brittany's family and looking at appartments. Her father has the most amazing home theater I have ever heard. I forget most of the stuff and no pictures, but he had a Martin Logan center speaker, two 7' tall Martin Logan's next to his 135" screen, another set of Logan's next to the theater seats, and another set behind them in the corners...talk about an eargasm!

You know I have, there is no problem with that.
