Thats awesome news! Well it means I wasted an hour and a half drawing up a design but hell thats alright. It means that I can have some of my trunk space. I need to go read up more (obviously) but whats the maximum cubic feet? I know reading the thing it says 5-8. Does that mean the max is 8 or the ideal is 8? and the ideal smaller is 5? Normally in the range of airspace larger yields more output, simply because it's more efficient. If you have too much airspace put the port in the box to displace air, and/or add bracing.

power wire vs ground wire for battery
Duran replied to jcarter1885's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can never have too much ground, but never let your power wire gauge exceed the ground. -
Audiopipe AQX35001 3500 Watt RMS Amp

The amp I played with was dirty, as in very distorted. -
Two 10's have more cone area than 1 12", but less than 1 15". But the difference is you will be porting the 12". Theoretically with venting you gain 3 decibels.
-
That is too large for even an 18", that is too much for 2 15's aswell.
-
I recommend the 12" ported.

Correct the magnet and basket are stationary.

Boo The bright stuff hurts my eyes if I stare at it all day. Same, but the theme is a dark red and dark grey/black. Nothin bright that i see It's still too bright for my liking

I'll stick to graphite

I do sometimes, drive in movies and such, that's why I would like the gauge inside the car. I'm also saving for a H.O. alternator.

They are dirty, dirty amps -
Sonic is fine, that piece isn't necessary though. I know the site is okay, why do you say it isn't necessary? I really don't understand why you would want it. It does no benefit IMO. I want to have voltage and temperature of my SAZ-3000D in view. What part of the amp are you going to monitor the temperature on? ... and why? Voltage is easy and you don't need that piece of junk to do it. So you don't like the company? Why? You didn't even come close to answering my question either. Sorry Sean. I would like to monitor the temperature on the heatsink. Where would you suggest? Voltage should be simple to understand guys, I'm not going to pop my trunk and run out with my DMM every few minutes to check voltage I want something I can always see. Like the voltage at my rear battery bank. You are going to make decisions of some sort based on heat sink temp? Your heatsink won't fail with high heat btw and has many other factors that regulate its temperature besides just the extra heat from the amp. Not sure why you'd have to pop your trunk to use a DMM if you are willing to run a wire for that gauge. Okay look Sean, it gets hot in the summer, if I look at my temperature gauge and see my amp is at 175 F I'm probably going to turn it down, or off. Does that make sense? I don't know what you mean by running the wire, I don't see your point.

It doesn't have on board fuses. You need an in-line 300 amp.

yes indeed, i bought the other two dd's because i had two already. the ones i already had i had hooked to one 3000 at half ohm they took the power nicely. the screws broke holding one speaker though and it fell out the box all that power is tearing stuff up. but yes sundown subs are in my future With high power like that, mistakes are costly. One small imperfection can cause disaster with this stuff. One of my Nightshade dustcaps had an imperfection and it blew off one day, taking some of the cone with it. Be careful with your bumping.

Time to invest in Sundown subs, they take the power.

the best 10" sub in a sealed box with sum wicked lows?
Duran replied to lilwhteranger's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Are you getting a new amp? If your budget for a new sub is $150, do I want to know the budget for an amp? -
always appreciate your advice but as far as tuning it and everyhting it looks good? Yeah it all looks good

You don't need to break it in for 4 hours, get it in and slam it!
