There isn't enough air apace for 12's. you could port a pair of 10's though?
-
Most likely the 10's, but it depend son the enclosure, amp, subs, vehicle,...etc.
-
It's a little small. Fi Recommends 1.8-2.5 cubes at 33 Hz.
-
Nah it's the builders of the box, and the "okay" subs they put in it.
-
You don't really need new subs, it sounds like the enclosure is the problem. You can throw a great sub in a bad enclosure and you get bad results. Where a "bad" sub in a great enclosure can work wonders
-
The box isn't too big you just need more port. Oh and I would get new woofers as well X2 more port and new woofers..comon don't be mean to the guy i bet he paid a nice penny for those 3 12inch subs. but if you can return them and get something different go for it! I would, considering they run $529 a piece. i think you should keep it all Sundown, look up the Nightshade

Well you don't have enough port area that's for sure. I got 10.36 cubic feet tuned to 29.5 HZ. with less than half the needed port area

Not always. We don't need to get technical, he is wiring batteries together. What I said is true in this case. Yes, we do need to get technical. You made a blanket statement. It could be interpreted by other viewers of the thread or the OP as " you always fuse for the wire and nothing else," and the next time they need to fuse something that requires otherwise, they end up with a broken piece of equipment. Did I say that? -
Which of those is length? What did they say it was tuned to?
-
It doesn't sound like the amps to me, Jacob did a great job with those amps, they are underrated and really put out about 1500 watts. What are the specs on the enclosure?
-
Yes the 100.4 can go active.
-
No that's correct, but I don't see your problem, you don't like the sound?
-
Please explain

It's hard to understand your post, but are you saying you can make your windshield wipers bounce on the glass but they are barely moving and there isn't much output?

Fuse size depends on wire gauge, you fuse to protect the wire. I would use a 300 amp. -
How do they have them wired?

Low cost subs for high displacement project...?

Good luck! -
Do you mean run each at .5 ohm and strapped to 1 ohm? or run each at 1 ohm and strapped at 2 ohms?
-
how do you fit 8 gauge in push button terminals

Stupid since 12ga will do. Twist caps are for solid core wire. True.... but at times we do things that work good and are reliable in our builds, even though they weren't intended by the manufacturer to do so.. that said i use the twist caps they come in handy and are easier to use especially if u have dd subs. You never, EVER use twist caps for stranded wire. They will come off and take half the wire with them with the smallest amount of pressure. I have cleaned up so many installs where dumb rednecks used twist caps for their head unit and wonder why it doesn't work! -
Bump! Any ideas or thoughts ? Do some testing to find out what is best for your vehicle. Unless they have tested the same equipment in the same vehicle they don't have a valid opinion.
