Speaking of lonely, I'm listening to The Lonely Island In case you guys didn't know it's written and performed my the guys of Saturday Night Live, good stuff.

Damn...it's a lonely night!

bromo with your formula is that for a round port or slot port? If it was for a round the conversion to a slot is Dv' = 2*((W*H)/pi)^0.5 right?

With 400 maximum amps being drawn from just the sound system you think my suggestion is overkill?
-
You should have more than that, that's minimum. If you want to play at full volume for more than a few minutes get more power.

Alpine PXA-H100 IMPRINT Audio Processor
Duran replied to alexj01_83's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
At least your honest -
1. You need to be a certified badass. 2. You need to be running Sundown Equipment. 3. You need to compete with your equipment. I have the first two down 1. Will Toyota Celica walled with 2(two) NS.v2 18" each on saz2000D @ 0.5 ohms , badass ? 2. See above 3. Compete where? I can only compete in EMMA Bulgaria... if I got money maybe Greece, and Romania... but for now Bulgaria. But EMMA here sucks so bad... you have to turn off the engine, they choose a song which is not the best for your tuning... meter at the headrest. I don't see you having a problem

JL Audio Slash v2 300/2v2 vs RF 600-2
Duran replied to rbond's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Amplifier choice won't matter much, JL audio and Rockford Fosgate both make excellent amplifiers. Don't chose one over the other because it puts out more power, that is what a gain knob is for. -
I love all the Sundown

Proper power wiring for my sound system?
Duran replied to rbond's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'd go the 1/0 gauge way, in case you ever wanted to upgrade amplifiers in the future -
Okay I redid my Sd and Vd and came up with 52.7 in, that sounds much better Thanks bromo!

The Subwoofer DIY Page - Port Calculations huh, the ones I wrote are from the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook. Thanks bromo I'll try those formulas. Hey I tried to play with Excel and make it calculate using those formulas but I couldn't get it to work at all, any tips? Make sure you write them right in Excel and have an example for checking. I wrote them right, but it would be easier to see it done, I don't have any examples.

Welcome to SSA! We're chalk full of experts here We appreciate you doing research as well

Well bromo I got 559.2 in with your formula, I'll do back and redo the Sd and Vd.

With 70% off why wouldn't you get SS components? Or at least RS.

dv = min vent dia in inches fb = tuning freq vd = cone displacement in cubic meters dv >= 39.37*(411.25*Vd / sqrt Fb) ^(1/2) Or dv >= 39.37* (fb*Vd) ^(1/2) So was I using the wrong formula?

Dead Kinetik 2400
Duran replied to bassahaulic's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Why are you still running Kinetik and Optima when your on Team XS Power? -
Hmm I can't decide if I want to do a 4th or 6th order for my next build. I love all the fiberglass, and the river of resin!

Math kickin' my ass top

Guys...I'm working on the port size for an enclosure, I'm using these formulas : Sd = pi*(Dia/100)^2/4 Vd = Sd*Xmax/1000 Dmin = 100*(20.3*(Vd^2/Fb)^0.25)/Np^.5 And I came up with 264.9 in. That doesn't seem right at all
