I agree! I always walk around with the Grados on
-
just asking questions its how i learn. no disrespect. Yes no disrespect, I was stating you cannot have sound quality and high power handling, SQ and SPL don't mix
-
Demanding so much power handling from an SQ driver is absurd.
-
^ Exactly, there is a huge probl;em with weight with a 6" coil. SPL is about efficiency, adding weight where it doesn't need to be is not going to happen.
-
BL for you then, there is a noticeable difference in output

Sub up port back typically does best
-
Which one's? CS60CF, for $225 right now here at SSA ? Yes.
-
With a cone that big, and xmax that high it has no problem being double duty midbass and midrange.
-
They are rated at 12.8v

I was making my assumption my experience with the xB in a ported alignment, we got the best results with port and woofer firing up, if your testing you liked woofer back go for it
-
I was only able to cram 1 15" in the back of an xB, so sealed will be the way to go if you want 2 15's, woofers up should yield the best results, and you have enough space for the two. You are correct D1 woofers if using a 3000D

For a daily driver Mayhem > BTL, but for numbers BTL > Mayhem
-
Yes the Q would move more because of a more compliant suspension, that does not translate to being more loud though.
-
The BTL is more efficient, it WILL be more loud than any other woofer from Fi. They don't have a "prime" wattage rating either, the ratings are the maximum recommended power applied given the thermal and mechanical handling built into the woofer.

more batteries or more alts

I prefer raspberry jam myself -
Power handling is going to depend on your enclosure, and how happy you get with the volume knob. If it was someone who knows what they are doing it won't fail, if your inexperienced it'll go poof when your setting your gains.
