Trying to get a SQ setup going..i think

With that amplifier, get D1 coils, that's all you need. If you want to increase resale value get the cooling and heat ring put on -
Interesting

Well it's difficult for a stock battery to sustain the vehicle and the amplifiers, you have two options, upgrade your stock abttery to the largest that will fit, or wire a second battery into the electrical system in the rear of the vehicle by the amplifier, personally I'd rather have one in the rear, because you can always go larger if needed. You can get a Sundown Audio SAX-1200.D for $375, the woofers would be about $500, $30 for some MDF to build an enclosure or more to have someone build you one, wiring and cables will be another $100, and another $100-$200 for a good HU, that leaves about $300 for a battery, I would put a D975 in the back, it's about $200. -

Get the largest that fits under your hood, they can be purchased here in the "SSA Store" at the top of the page. What are your battery compartment dimensions? -

Thank you! Now what kind of amp do you think I would need to power those? And the Q's have quite a few special configurations. Would any of those benefit me or is that for a more technical set up. I'm talking about the spider, cooling, P chamfer, High QTS, Heat Ring, etc.. And what about the OHM? I don't really know much about specs so am I going single or dual? For the options, if you want to tun sealed the HighQTS works best, you won't need the extra spider it's for more mechanical power handling, the other upgrades depend on what amplifier you would like to use -

The Q's are rated for 1000 watts RMS, however you can put whatever amplifier you would like on them. Do you have any electrical upgrades? If you want to run their rated power, 2,000 watts will require a supportive electrical, a simple 1Kw amplifier supporting both Q's would work beautifully, and normally only require an upgraded front battery, I recommend XS Power. -
Do you mean super high frequencies, or in the normal tweeter range?

Two sealed 12" Q's sound like the best match for you, they will provide the punch with a good low frequency extension without over powering your front stage -
Lulz! We have a bit of snow on the mountaintops, not a thing at the base though.

You need to tune much lower for movies, into high teens low 20's

I know but the RE MT is the only woofer i have ever heared that it can blow whilst being underpowered. You missed my point

Uh oh Headache. Got passed up for a raise/promotion, and it's a tough situation because though I think I was the right choice for the job the person who got is qualified, but has less seniority. He's a great work friend though so it's bitter sweet. A couple really anoying medical issues popped up in addition to my normal WTFery stomach thing. On the flip side I'm getting quite a bit done around the house. I spent 3 weeks doing NOTHING, and I'm building momentem for getting things done. It feels a bit like being punishment for doing the right thing. I am however extatic to check things off my list. I'm going to spend the day nice and crabby, then rake leaves tonight and work off some tension. Least a friend got promoted, not an arch nemesis

I'm glad to have contributed a valid suggestion in this thread Sean, approval of these? They are the only ones I could find with a low enough frequency range to be considered a tweet: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=272-102 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=270-049

Some person said that I could Fry the coil overs or something like that if you run an amp smaller than the recommended subwoofer power. The only subwoofer that could be smoked whilst underpowering was a series of RE MT, the spiders were too hard and if you had a X amount of power to it, it didn't moved enough to cool itself and burned the coils. ALL subwoofers need to move to keep cool, they used forced air cooling.
