Halfway done with the box. But it is 18 cubs and has a removable port. Made for 2 RE MT 18s Powered by 4 American Bass 400.1s
-
nice work man, curious to see what it does when its finished.
-
true to a point, most woofers loose control when they are recieving a dirty signal from its power source. If the woofer is not controlled properly the coils cannot cool themselves properly causing the coils to overheat and eventually burn.

i know this post is kind of dead and old but here is my 2 cents. Noobtastic is right. I have had an RE MT 18 sub in the back of my explorer for around a year. I have put around 5000 ~ 6000 Rms daily to it. I reconed it after a year of playing beacause i wanted to change the ohm load. coil still in great condition. But again we are talking SPL here. True competitors push their systems beyond their limits to post up a number.

cannot beat the price and quality of hybrid audio.
-
i believe kicker did something with their ss components one time for display purposes. had them in a bookshelf cabinet.
-
i use home theater drivers for cars before i used hybrid.

most people dont publish that info man, dynaudio doesnt even do it. If you call scott i am pretty sure he can help you out. btw calm down a little man, we are all about helping people out.
-
Does anyone know when Scott is going to come out with the full pro line? I am wanting to get an L841-3 Pro setup for a couple of my cars.
-
thanks dave i know scott makes great stuff. But i might go ahead and get my second 841-3 setup for my new build.
-
also check for a loose ground lower voltage = more amperage.
-
rumor has it that jacob has a v2 Nightshade.

Hey Dave and all other SSA Members, i am going to stop the build in the Lincoln. I have just bought an 88 Honda CRX that I will be building. Same gear is going into it, so if you have any advice on speaker locations for a L641-3 PM me.
-
That would be interesting. Its gonna take some time, but ill let you guys know how its going with the project.
-
that is what i wanted to do.

Hey Dave, ill have some pics up in a couple of days after i get all the American Bass Amps placed. But one other question man. I do SPL as well as SQ, i do not want to hurt my hybrid audio setup, any suggestions on having a set of speakers located somewhere else in the car, something good but under 250 bucks. I was thinking about putting another SQ 500 under the passenger seat and putting a set of Kicker SS 5.25 Components in the kicks or fiberglass the doors.

Yeah, well i am debt free and plan on staying that way, plus i don't want to loose the car, due to debt and credit cards, with the time and work I have already put in it.
-
Hey Dave, always glad to have someone motivate me through my install. I have gotta get some more $$$ to finish it up. I lack more sound deadening and need my power inverter, audio processors, a ton more cables, and some time to do it all. I should have some more pics up soon, but i dont plan on having the car finished until the beginning of 09 with all the things i need to do with it.
-
BTW, Scott as soon as i get the L631-3 setup in i will be adding those build pics in as well.
-
Thanks man, i got a ton of more work to do. Besides the kicker amp, SX700.4, on top is not there any more. I traded it for a 55A Power Supply for the car. I have the American Bass SQ500s there now.
-
yeah, i have most of the pics. Check out my pics on my profile, or just add me on myspace. www.myspace.com/computergeek2000

I know this is Hybrid Audios Forums, but i do need some help. I am between three brands for a good sq setup for the front stage in my 1997 Lincoln Towncar. Scan Speak, Zapco, or Hybrid Audio. 8", 4", and 1" is the sizes i have been looking for. I want the best for under $1500.
-
ill be sending around 800 watts to it, just for the extra headroom in the amp. But i have decided to put the sub where the shifter would go. Lucky for me i drive an automatic.
-
well here is the deal, A L1,L3,L6 in the front. and a L8 somewhere in the car. Thanks to all you Hybrid guys!
