I can change port tuning, what do you suggest?
-
Which would be the better choice? Looking for very loud. Listen to mainly rap. Going in a ported box in my trunk tuned to 32hz. Running off of 2x saz-1500d's. ps. The 15 would have to be done sub up port back due to 13.5" of hight available. thanks =]
-
well yeah, hes using one saz-1500d, I have two but I just want to know which would match the output on one. I guess you can change the BTL to just x1 15 and the BL x2 12 because of power issues

My friend has two SI MAG 12's and the same amp as I do, my question is, which sub are the mags more comperable to in output, the BL or the BTL (Both fully loaded) So would I have to go with the 2 BTL's to be louder or would the BL's match the mags? Thanks for the help =]
-
alright then, is it the tuning of the enclosure or the size that makes the bigger difference (ported)
-
a subs ability to play lower frequencies loud and well? I'm talking about around 30-40 hz. Ive been told that the big factor is in fact not the box's tuning like I thought it was, so what exactly affects the subs performance at those frequencies?
-
alright, thanks for the info, looks like i'll be sticking with mine then =] also, if I may ask, how stable is the 1500d at .5 ohms exactly? I know the warranty would be voided, but am I really better off sticking with one ohm without the extra wattage? If electrical is part of the equation, Ill be running two of them at .5 ohms each with a 160+ amp alt, a kinetic 1400 up front and a 2400 in the back, thanks again for the help.

After they are discontinued and replaced by the 2000? I plan on buying another in a few months and dont want to have to buy a completely different amp, would like to match the two.

5.5 net volume, sorry about that

Which would be louder in a 5.5 cu ported box running on around 3k watts?
-
Well, i've figured out that I can fit a 5.5 cu box in my trunk, now i was originally going to go with two 15" btl's but after taking measurements, it seems like my trunk would be more suited for two 12" btl's. My question is, which would sound better/be louder/hit lower freq's better in a 5.5cu ported box? they will be tuned at about 32hz Any help would be appreciated, thankss

Sundown Audio NightShade 12" & 15" D1/D2 F/S
SplFiend replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in SSA® Store
From what I gather, the Nightshade and BTL have the same end goal. But with the Nightshade being spanking new, I don't anyone has been able to compare them yet. Jacob would be the best person on the Nightshade details. Very nice! Also wondering about the comparison to the BTL, any word, let me know. it's between the two right now, Ps: Does lower fs = plays lower frequencies better? -
the 18" would be in a seperate box from the 12"s
-
Alright, so I'm trying to plan out my car system and ive ordered my subs/amps. The subs are 1x 18" FI BTL and 2x 12" FI BTL's. I have a 4 door dodge stratus and I was planning on removing the back seats where I would put the 18" in a 7'-8' cu ported box. The two 12"s would go in the trunk area in a single ported box (can do two seperate boxes if that would be better). The trunk/cab would be connected due to the removal of the back seat. My question is, would this be a very stupid thing to do? Im VERY new at these things and I apologize if it's a rediculous idea. Also, if it isn't a good idea, what would be? And last, what would be good places to have the ports/woofers facing? Both boxes are ported. Thanks to anyone that can help me out, I know theres alot of questions
