Loudest Pair of SA-12s that I know of.

Well, I did get to hear the SAZ 100.4 hooked up to the 15....It was very nice....NEVER would have guessed it was only getting 400rms...Much flexing was going on!!

I'm amazed...How in the world do the subs NOT blow? I know subs can handle burps but I cannot imagine him never playing them for at least 10 minutes....600RMS sub getting probably 2400... Anyone?? How do you keep a 600rms sub from blowing? I will show you when you come by on Saturday. People sleep on the SA. Well more then than they do now. You have to know what you are doing. If not then I don't care what the Driver is designed for, Either thermally or mechanically, if you don't know you can blow anything. Seriously you have do something real stupid and be a pure noobix to tear these things up. It goes a lot further then "oh X square on X air space @ XX cycles should do it on X amount of power. Way WAY more complicated then that. Excited to see and learn how it is done!!!

  4. I talked with the owner of this car this morning. He designed that box. He also mentioned that he had something to do with the design of the sub as well.....I'm now really thinking hard about what I'll use for my next system...

Look at this box design...Opinions Please!

Okay....As far as the specs on my existing box....I'm clueless....I bought it like that and never asked....

According to the guy who designed it, that is what it will be....

Hmmm......I do understand I'll still have some vibration but since the subs will actually be sealed inside the box, I'm sure the trunk rattles will be significantly reduced....

Yeah, it'll have an 8 X 19 rear deck opening.....I guess I'd like to know if someone has used this design in a trunk car and did it perform better than a ported box???

That seems more complicated than it needs to be. Try a simple ported box, if designed and built properly you will be very happy with the outcome. Well...One thing about this box that I was interested in is that it takes the bass out of my trunk. If I go with a standard ported box, that means I'll need to put some sound deadener to help with rattles....

The specs are right above the first picture...

    Bump....Anybody?
  13. Hey Guys.....I have recently purchased a SAZ 1500D and it's powering 2 Powerbass ES 15's in a sealed box. I'm now interested in getting more sound than what I've got now that I have more power. Here's my existing box. I've talked to a guy who's been doing car audio installs for many years. Being that I've got a trunk car and my back seat doesn't lay down, he thought this would be a good design. He said it basically takes all the bass out of my trunk and directs it into my cabin. It sounds like a good idea but I'd just like to get more opinions. It would be with my existing 15's. Here's the box design. It's 7 cubes net and has a 3.3 cube down chamber with an 8 X 19 rear deck opening. It's tuned to 35. 1 More view of it.

    Installed SAZ 1500D...Now Engine Noise???

Well....I just installed the Scosche ground loop isolator on the RCA's on my Sub amp.....Now I have ZERO noise....I'm not sure why people say they are a bad idea?? I am not able to hear any difference in how my subs sound....So, I'm gonna say that it worked great for me :-) Now I'm thinking I'll test it with the RCA's I originally had to make sure that I don't have any engine noise with them....If so, I'm gonna call the car stereo shop and see if they'll allow me to return the one's the just installed....I'd hope so since their solution didn't completely work....

    Installed SAZ 1500D...Now Engine Noise???

he said Tsunami elites if Im on the same track that Jacob is thinking Id say go to walmart and get the cheapest RCAs they have for some reason there are some high quality RCAs that the amps dont like Hey....I've been gone all day....Well....Here's an update. I went to a local car stereo shop and had them check it. They plugged in a new set of RCA's and the sound got quiter but not completely gone....So....I was told that I probably still have a group loop issue since the sound is coming thru my front stage amp only when the sub amp is hooked up. I'll go to Wal-Mart and buy the Scosche ground loop isolator and see if that helps and if not, then I can just return it.....
