I am thinking that I might make the jump to a sealed box. But, do the assassins work well sealed?

The fields with a red * are the ones you put your cursor at the end of and left-click and then use your backspace until the red number is gone. Then, put in your measurements(using decimal values)on each line until you come up with a buildable shape that meets your tunning target. It is actually pretty damn easy to use. But, you are the only one stopping yourself. Just think, you can use it to design boxes for your friends and they will think that you are Da Kine! But, only you and SSA have to know. Go on now...........................................

Don't laugh but, go buy Enya's Watermark and listen to tracks 1, 2, 7 & 10 Then listen to all of it. It is one of the most dynamic recordings you will EVER hear in your car. Never trap yourself into one or, two genre's of music.

Pioneer P9 problem
freemind replied to dave_Edwards's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
My 860 MP does not want to open when gets hot here(94+F). But after it cools down, it works fine I figure it is a design flaw or something? I know this doesn't answer the question. But, it is an angle to think about. -
You REALLY need to seal those rear fill speakers off. 1 roll of BXT was enough to do my trunk and doors in an Accord. It's really stuff that there BXT is I tell ya!

even a 10" or two 8's in the passenger foot-well would work IMO

Think '87 Toyota corolla FX 16. I got room for about 2 cubes max. And have access to the spare and amps. I am thinking about mounting the amps under the front seats tho.

I'd like to get the boards opinions on them. Are they hard to build correctly?
-
So 1 cube for ea 10" would do me good?

LOL sorry about the typo. Typist is not I

I have not heard them. But, for a retail of $350.00 I'd be all over a set of Pioneer Premier PRS 720's WAY before those. There was a group buy going on is the Hybird Audio page on this site. They were in the $400.00 range last time I checked. You should see if you can get in as well. Word has it that they are the best you can get for real world money. Good luck to ya The Hybrids are now down to $375.00!!! But, the cut-off is 7/15/18 I really wish I had the chips right now. DAMN!!!

From where? Try this link M5, http://www.dogfish.com/ There are a few places around here that carry it.

The calculation is the same since volume is volume, but you do calculate volume differently in a tube versus a box. edit: should have read further before posting either way the comment holds What is your opinion on Sonotubes M5?

I am starting to goof around with it. Thank you very much!

Hi Rob, I am a firm believer in craigslist. I got the 500m for $50.00 and just had to resolder the remote lead. The PG amp which is in near perfect shape, I got for $50.00 also. The trick is to be patient and look for the good deals. As for a sub, I am very sold on Ascendant Audio period. One thing you should know is that with that budget, you won't be running over 1000 watts. What else are you going to be running in this project?

Thank you!

Square a circle. I am not so good at thinking right now LOL

Thanks. There is a shop on the northside of town that sells them pre-loaded w/ RE's But, one needs deep pockets for that setup. I would like to run one of these setups due to space problems in the little car(1987 FX 16)(AE82)

Wouldn't there be a different way to calculate box(enclosure)?
-
Please forgive my ignorance here. But, what is "HT people"?
-
It's all good man. I should of had gotten that. I am really up late tonight. What is the fuse rating on the amp? What kind of headunit are you running? I can see that it may be a very under-rated amp. But, I am not sure? I know that my old Xtant 3300x was really under-rated.

Put an extra layer (or two) on the (inside lol) of the outside panel. That will make a difference for sure. As for the PC 4200, I believe that is rated at 25x4. Do you mean that you are running it "bridged" to a pair of CDT mids? Btw, Nice ride man. I haven't been back to NM in a long time. I hope that you're getting green chillies on your next pizza

i just did both metal panels with the vibration mat and ive done nothing on the interior plastic panel. I was hoping/ planning on doing some overkill somewhere but its going to be a PITA no matter which panel i try to do so i was wondering/thinking if doing the outer panel would give help reduce noise inside the car and help reduce the volume of the music outside as well. Im thinking putting it there would do the least to prevent noise coming inside but if it would help keep the noise down outside i might as well do it. My cars an 06 so i cant really justify buying new weather stripping even if i could find some thicker stuff (wouldnt know where to look either) Id really like the crazy double weatherstripping ive seen on a benz but thats never gonna happen. What brand of deadener did you use? 1 layer per panel or what? what kind of power are you running to the doors?

I wondered how these guys on Craigslist claim that their 2 sony subs hit 152db on a pyle amp LOL
