    rockford amp

that page doesnt open for me,, just freezes up my internet, but i think i remember seein that the T2000 had a 275 amp fuse, since there amps are underrated, so i would think the T3000 would be 350 to 375 amp, but im not sure, since i couldnt find info on that amp

    Trunk porting

was the for me or the OP, for mine, the kickers, the boxes where shove all the way back blockin off the back seat whole, so i ported through the rear deck, but the second one, with the audiopulse the box is shoved all the way back again with the sub facin the other way, but it was a temporary box, its a little different now

    Saz 3000d questions

How well would the amp do if i ran it at .5 ohm? For daily ill run it at 1 ohm but i just ordered another 15, and will be using both on one amp at comps for a while.

IXL 12 mounting depth and sd

What is the mounting depth for the mach 5 IXL 12, and is why is the sd on this woofer smaller that most other 12" woofers
  8. Ive drivin mine very hard, and the only think that happens is a little bit of woofer cookin smells, but thats using more power than i should have, here the box in my house, with the dayton in it. its got a line length of a 45 hz wave,

    Trunk porting

i decide to just take out my 6x9s, because my sub keep breakin them, and i decide to use 4 4in ports to bring in the sound, kind of turnin my car into a series tuned band pass, then i tried for a new way to port it cuz i wanted some rear speakers, so i sealed in 4 6 1/2in woofers and ported throught my back seat.
  10. I haven't use my axis in a sealed box yet, im afraid it will rip the box apart. it seem you know more about things than me too, but i use a trans line in the corner of my room, that is the box that caused everythin to rattle, i also have good experience from my dayton hf 15, it cant take all off the 500 watts in the trans line enclosure, but it definately had great sq and rattled walls, i know that wasnt one of your options, but its another sub from PE
  11. the audiopulse definately has sq. It sound tons better at 500rms to me, because more power makes everythin rattle and makes for annoying music,. what is the setup goin to be like?
  12. wait i feel dumb now, is HT home theater.. cuz if it is, i would be weary about the axis, just using 500 watts on my axis knocks things off my shelfs.. in my entire house, neighbors complained too
  13. im not seein the av15 on there, but i think you have very different woofers, that Axis is 2500 rms and the AE td is 500, and the TD also said is Bass~Mid.. I would go with the Axis since that TD seems like it wouldnt even compare to the Axis, but since im just reading about them and not hearing, maybe someone else would know more,.. btw i just ordered one of the axis's. ive got one .. but i couldnt resist gettin another for that price..ha
  14. id jump on that auduiopulse, in fact, Im really debating on gettin another right now for that price but im not sure on the names of those other subs but that audiopulse is the best sub if have, great sq, and hittin 146 at comps

    4 7in woofers, tapped horn

took it back apart to finish it up, it some what painted now and i put the 45's in, ill try to carpet it tomorrow after i get some glue. sanded and painted ive never had to put 45's on like this before it need a little more paint too, but i ran out

    H/O alternators

oh. those are just from typing too fast, and you were the only regulator on here so i just figured you edited it, but for the original cause of this thread, thats what the first part of my post was, everything else was an add on to your first post.

    H/O alternators

was that comment towards me, because i said, the alt isnt what is affecting how bad my car performs, rather all the stuff in my trunk and also, im not an idiot I can spell..what did i spell wrong?
  19. fritosaregood

    H/O alternators

ive done few thinks in college about loses in system. and that a 200 amp alt will put out 2800 watts at 14 volts, 2800 watts ~ 3.75 horsepower, so that should be the most its taking from the engine, but add in more losed from the pulley and stuff like that maybe takes off another .5 to 1 horsepower, so you should only loose at most 4.75 horsepower from the engine, ive got a 4 cylinder accord with 200 amp alt, 50 lb sub, 100 lb box, 2 50 lb kinetik batts, sundown amp~20 lb i think. and I AM AN IDIOT AND I CANNOT SPELL PROBABLY 100 lb dynamat, that 200 amp alt has a very little affect on how poorly my car performs now.

    solo x or btl

Exactly, one that you built and tuned. People throw them in high tuned prefab boxes and overpower them and then they come bitching back to me. that is def a big problem with alot of ppl systems, but i would hope if someone paid enough for a solo x they would know how to build and tune there own box,

    solo x or btl

Good luck giving a square sub 100+ watts over its rating, DOUBLE the power? Get real, you cant believe everything you hear On the other hand the BTL still remains musical on 6,000 watts, and takes burps id 9,000 watts no problem. Don't forget the efficiency as well. The Solo X is only 89.7 efficient, while the BTL is above 90. i had an L5 rated 600 rms and i fed it with an 1100 rms amp I had a 20 watt tweeter and ran it with a 150 watt amp. i had my amp giving it 1100 rms, Playin music for 20 30 mins at a time and slow sweeps about a min long each, the only bad thing that happened was it bottomed out at about 15 hz,, but i fixed that by using my subsonic filter
