Ok if everything goes smooth I should have 4 ssd 12's. They are dual 2s, (the last version not the new ones) comming my way. The question I have for you guys is how many do you think I should use and what type of box. If its 4th or 6th order I will have to pay for a design (not a big deal). This is what I have 1993 toyota pickup regular cab (this is going to be a blow through) I dont have the alt installed yet but I am going to get the 150 amp alt on as a second 2 deka g31's Sundown saz-1500 do I do 2 in a 6th order at .5 ohm (iv ran the amp at half ohm already so Im not affraid there) do I do 3 subs at .33 ohms or 4 at 1 ohm and what are your ideas on box? This is going in a daily driver but I don't listen to it loud very often and its for short bursts when it is. Thanks for any ideas and imput given. O I hope here by the first of the month I will have a second saz1500 on the way

well with some thinking i am either considering 2 or 3 of them but I cant seem to find the t/s or anyone that has used them in a 4th order. I would like to do a 4th order, something I have never built and have always wanted to do.

Just as the title says, I may be getting 4 Ssd 12s in a trade and I'm. Doing a blow-through in a Toyota pickup and was wondering if they. Would perform well in a 4th order band-pass. Thanks

That install was on the small side for power supply. It had a 200 amp alt , 2/0 p&g between 2 yellow tops. The box was 1 1/4 thick except the front it was 1 7/8" and lots of all tread. I changed rigs and started running 2 deka g31's then a yellow top under the hood with a 200 amp allty and 2/0 every were and I would sometimes dips down to the high 12's with the RD at 1 ohm when the car is idleing. I don't think you will need 7000 but it would sure help. This vid is my 1 solox 18 in 10 cu ft with 150 cu in of port @34 hz granit thats not the best by all means but with 3000 watts you cant complain

looks very nice any vids yet?

Cool people with physical knowlage of what can be done with a dp. Its nice to read the responces on here versus other forum's. I got told the truth instead of a bunch of jack arse remarks. Thanks youguys I'm going to build the box tonight.

I know that they rate the dp at 1500 watts but I was told that they can handle close to 2000 daily (if careful) but could a person run close to 3000 for short periods (15-20 seconds). I understand that's not recommended just wondering if its been done and what the results were.

Thanks everyone for the imput. I ran into a few issues getting the 2 dp's installed, and figured that I would try one just to see what it sounds like. Running one gives me the option of running 3000 to it and I figured I would give it a listen just to see but was wondering what others thoughts and personal experiences were.

Qick update, no round ports for me. I can't find a place that will sell me a small section. Its a 20 ft section or nothing and at 4.50 a foot I'm not going to spent $90 on a port. So it will be slot ported.

I want to do round ports on this next box but I am running into problems of how many I can fit. My numbers look about like this, 17.4 cu ft after all displacements 3 10" round ports 18 or 18.5 (can't remember exact) which is ported right around 35 hz. My main consern is will 3 10" ports be enogh port? Thanks for the help

Well I am to, for my skill level this is a job and a half. I just hope everything goes good. I will post back to let you know how it turns out.

Sorry yes 2 21's and its going in a 93 geo metro walled. There isn't a lot of space in there so I was having issues on where I can put the port and all but I think I have it worked out. Power will be with an RD 3250.1 and 3 deka group 31s and a 200 amp alt. we will see how it turns out. Thanks IA2 Thats what I wanted to hear. I guess I will keep going with the build then. This is my first time of doing something really hard.

Well I just got my recones an baskets today for my soon to be DP 21's. This will be my first time doing a recone and I'm very eager to do it but a couple things I need help on. I emailed nick but I didn't know with him being at the CES deal if he would get back to me before next week. My first question is there are 6 little black plastic deals that I am not sure what I do with them? the are like hard plastic tubes. about a 1/4" long maybe shorter. My second question is what do I use for a tool to gap the voice coil when I put the recone into the basket? I have heard that some companies say to use manila envelopes but I wasn't sure how thick they should be. Thanks for any help provided.

I am watch this one it sounds about like what I have planed, My 21's should be here this week. I was actually asking on another forum about running 2 sundown 1500's at 1/2 for daily or just keep my 3250.1. Off the top of my head the box is going to be a hair under 20 cu gross, but I was thinking subs forward port centered and up.
-
Wow on the flex and wow on the score. Box looks nice too. more vids?
-
Man nice prices. Since the sale is going on on the subs is there a sale on the recones also ?
-
I guess I could do that. Now that I actually read that my original plan wouldnt work the way I wanted anyway. I was going to run just one untill I could get the second and build the second box to identical dimentions and fuse them together but butting the two boxes together and making it look good just doesn't sound as clean as on single box so I guess scratch the two boxes. So I guess the box would be around 9.25 cu.ft with about 140 cu. in. of port at 30 hz. Sound ok or would they do better in a different size box?
-
I have one Revo that should be here Friday and want to get another as soon as I can, I was going to put each sub in its own ported camber. Plans for the box size it 4.75 cu.ft. after port and sub(when I find out what that is) at 30 hz. I was wondering the diferences of port placement would make a big difference. The ports would either be placed one at each end of both comming out in the middle next to eachother. These are going into a dodge ram extended cab (rear seat gone of course). The subs and ports fireing up. If anyone has any suggestions with the box size or port I would love to hear them. Also do these subs like lots of port? Is 70 cu.in to big for each sub?

I'm tuned in. Looking good and loud already
