im sorry but the MLA is junk i didnt like mine it shows u charging 15.3v when u first start the truck then once yer batts take a hit from the amps. the voltage never goes back to 15.3v even with everything is shut off. its around 14.7v even after a half hour with nothing drawing power other than what needs to be. and this was on the interstate with well over 2k rpms. there 129+shipping i already ordered mine
the reason for the short runs is so that there is less resistance. the longer piece u have the more resistance that can come about. i have 3 grounds, i have front to rear and one on each side of the truck off my batts 52" apart
it is a cool lookin deck man! id scoop that up if it wasnt so high in price. but i guess u get what u pay for and pioneer is good quality equipment. are u gonna buy that one?
ive had DB Electrical and they are good alts. they have the same parts whore house as power masters. the alts ive owned were for my gmc jimmy 250 amp and dual 220 amps for my s10. took to a starter alt rebuild place with a good alt tester. the amperage was over there rated at 2k rpm the 250 amp @ 2k rpm was 271 amps the dual 220 amp alts were 232 and 227 @ 2k rpm. the 250 was a large case gm and the 220s were the small case gm

i didnt relies the MJs are that cheap. thats a great start for subs for yer friends system. DB-R is having a sale on sundown amps and are priced really good.
more current the faster the fuse will pop. unless its gradually rises then it could have more a chace the fuse wont get as hot and pop as fast at the rated fuses amprage. hard to tell if there is any damage done.
