  1. Got ahold of Alpine today, has to be sent in. $105
  2. I've had this unit working in my truck for about a year and a half now no problems and yesterday I get in and it turns on plays fine for a few minutes then the screen goes black and I lose all sound. When I turn on my truck all the buttons will light up and I hear the internal fan turn on, also powers on my amps but still no sound or screen. Things I've checked -Inline fuse on the yellow cord (Good) -Remove the button cluster and trying the reset button -Remove the negative cord from my battery for a few mins and hooking it back up and trying to start the unit -Truck running and off with accessory -Removed the radio and plug it in to a 12 volt power supply None of those thing changed anything. Any suggestion or help is appreciated, also I did try to call alpine today (7/18) but they are in a meeting 7/17 from 3-4PT and are still not back...
  3. The buttons are removable, Ive tried removing and cleaned the contact points with alcohol and reattaching, still the same.
  4. Replaced my RCA's today and now I have a terrible alt whine. Never had this happen before so Ive been trying to do some research and what the problems could be. Here's what Ive tried so far. I've disconnected the RCA's and the whine goes away. Plugged a factory wire back up with factory speaker and no whine Disconnected the 4 channel amp from the ground block and grounded it independently at another point. Since theres no whine with the factory speaker am I correct in assuming its nothing behind the head unit i.e. radio antenna, HU ground Any other suggestions? Also I did remove the remove and plug in the rca's while the system was running. Just found out that this is a big no no. Im running an Alpine INE-S920HD, with a PDX-F6 & M6
  5. I have a alpine PDX F6 & amp; M6 and they have been working great since I installed them a few weeks ago. Yesterday I tried to make a call via bluetooth and it sent the F6 into protection. Turned the head unit on and off amp resets and comes back on, now I can not turn the volume up with out the amp going into protection. The bluetooth is what has me the most stumped. Any help on where to start trouble shooting would be great. Thanks
  6. Replacing this is way too pricey. Would it be repairable?

  8. FIXED!!!! It was the drivers side rear RCA, unplugged it and full volume and bluetooth calls all work. Just going to leave to go until get a new wire and have time to replace it. Again thanks so much for all your help figuring this out
  9. ill take a look at those thing but I have to get the truck but in a semi working order so I can go to work now Thanks for all your help shizzzon
  10. Also it still cuts out when trying to make a bluetooth call as soon and the other line picks up, even with the mic unplugged
  11. I have been testing with the remote wire disconnected to the sub amp. I running a a high current knukonceptz inline fuse now but when I installed a touched the wires and blew the 3 60 amps fuses. All I had on hand was a single 150 to replace with. Pulled out some old 0ga from my old truck with a different inline fuse (150) and ran directly to the 4 channel, still goes into protect. I had hooked back the remote to the deck so ill have to go out a try it jumped. Im running 0ga batt to the block and 4 ga out if it so im not sure how it couldnt be getting enough power
  12. Also I ran just the sub amp and it went up to full volume and ran with no problems
  13. At a loss now Replaced the power wire off the distribution block to the amp same problem. Tried hooking up the power wire to where the sub amp is hooked to, wont go into protect when jiggled but same problem as before Unhooked the main power wire and wired it up to an old ground distribution block and the 4 channel still goes into protect Lastly i pulled the power connection plug off the sub amp and put it on the 4 channel still goes into protect just like before. So I believe that one of the terminals on the power block is loose and not working properly, but this still leaves me with original problem
  14. Unpluged the mic and it still goes into protect Jumped the remote wire and it also still goes into protect It seems to be a problem with the power wire. If i jiggle it the amp goes into protect. Im going to replace it and see what happens. Also the wire does not seem to be damaged
  15. Been out of town this weekend, I try this out and let you know if it works
  16. I'm using the bluetooth built into my Alpine INE-S920HD. You are able to disable the BT in the setting.
  17. no, i had been making calls with it since I installed it
  18. Turned the gains down all different levels still cuts out around the same spot
  19. No change, also added a star washer to improve my ground also with no change
  20. Getting ready for a long road trip next week and had a question. Going to be running a large power inverter the whole time and I wanted to put a extra battery or 2 in. My question is I have a 1 year old blue top from my boat and plan on buying a new blue top to go also, would it be a bad idea to run them both together.
