My new box will be 4 cubes at 30hz, with sub up and port facing the tailgate in my blazer. (5 inchs port to tailgate) My running it with a sae-1200d So my question is, is this box too large?

Where should i put the port? This is going to be in a blazer, and if back how much room should I leave between the port and tailgate?

Im designing a new box for my FiQ for my blazer. I was was wondering where the sub and port should go? Sub up firing, port rear firing? Also if one or both rear fire how far from the tail gate should it be? Thanks

I'm looking to build a new box for my blazer. I listen to mostly rock/metal but I do like rap. From what I've read 4 cubed and 30hz. If someone thinks differently i'm open to suggestions. My max dims are 37.5 wheel well to wheel well, 32 from the top of the rear seat to the tailgate, floor to top of seat is 15. I'm planning on putting in a false floor and I don't want to block my rear window so short is good. I'm running a hifonics brutus 1208D if that matters Thanks for any help

I have a Hifonics Brutis 1208d amp and i lost one of my set screws for the power and ground terminals, does anyone know where i can get a new one? I've tried hardware store and all i can find are set screw that look perfect but I can't find the right size. Its metric and 6mm is too small and 8 is too big, and i can't find a 7.

Looking for some help designing a new box for my sub. I listen to a lot of rock/metal, but I do like rap and would like to be pretty loud. Any help with sub placement, volume, what to tune it to would be great. also it is in a blazer. As of now its in a sealed box around 2.6 cube with a Hifonics 1208d and i know it has so much more potential. Thanks and if any other info is need please let me know

No, it dosent rattle much at all I'v never made a ported box before, so the port thing is a little over my head. How do i find out how to make the port, round, slot, and 64sqin is that how big the port opening should be? So just some rough numbers but lets say a box 27x17x20 @3/4 would be 4.23 Then with the sub in there 4.04 Right about now i get lost, i dont know how to make the port, and if i should also add the port displacement into the 4 cubes Thanks for your help sorry about all the questions im a newbe with ports

Like the title says im trying to wire up my components. They are Infinity Perfect 6.1, and im trying to use a kicker kx 250.2 amp. I know I have to bridge the amp to get 4 ohms but every time I wire it up the amp shuts off at high volume for a few sec ds and then tries to kick back on. Some info: 0ga run from the battery to a distribution block From distribution block 4ga to Hifonics 1208 Brutis, 8ga to Kicker kx 250.2 Same size wire for ground to another distribution block and 0ga to frame 200amp alt. with big 3 done SO my question how do I wire this up so I know im doing it right, and what could be making the amp shut off?

ok, its dark now so ill get a pic in the tomorrow it to try and explan in words, Left+ and Left- from amp to crossover, and from there crossover to woofer and tweeter and the same for the right side

It works but it still shuts off, just a little louder. My gain is a little less then 1/4 of the way up

So the amp puts out 2ohms to each channel but the crossovers send out 4ohms? I'll see if that makes a differene
