I would go with RE SR15's over both the P3's and the Alpines in that price category.

Is that using the popcorn test? Those subs are suffocating in that enclosure.
-
You need to build a "real" box. The 12's are pretty fast and tight in 0.9 ft^3 but they play much lower in 1.25ft^3 in my experience.

They must be coming from Idaho or something. =) Damn that UPS!

"THAT'S BRISK BABY". That should be in a Brisk commercial for sure. Funny stuff.

As far as I know there really is no goal in the system besides trying to be loud from what I can gather..........not my style at all cuz I like SQ. Anyways........the individual just said that they wanted 2 15's that will beat hard. They will be going in a Crown Vic. Their goal is to get everything for around $700-$800.......subs, amp, box, wiring, etc. Enclosure is everything. You plan on running subs sealed or ported? Take your measurements before you buy the subs.

Thanks. I kept the install simple and clean. My customer needed his truck so I only had two days to do the install.
-
Make sure you get the dual 4ohm version so you can run the 1000D @ 1ohm. What is the goal of this system and how much room do you have to work with?

All I know is Monster is the best.... When they are free....

I woulda let you sit in my kicker ride Not saying Kicker's better.... Just saying if you know what you're doing...... almost anything can get loud... b.t.w. It's common knowledge that if it's on tv or at best buy it's the $h!t :):) Haha! No doubt.

This install is in a 2007 2500HD with every factory option available. (Pleather, Nav, DVD, Blows Stereo, etc) The customer simply wanted to add a little more bass so we threw in a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D and a pair of subs. Anyone who has done an install in one of these trucks will know how little space there is for anything so the 1000D and its small footprint is the perfect solution. I am not a fan of factory speakers by any stretch of the imagination but the Silverado factory "Blows" speakers aren't too bad. Enclosure by James Taylor.

I already have the white banner in my shop but I want a black one dammit!

2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Sundown Audio Install

If factory bolts are near by you can strap the rack to those locations. In some cases where it is necessary to drill I recommend Stainless screws or bolts, and silicone. -
that wont work the backround in the banner wouldnt be visible its very nice as it is I meant the actual Sundown "Banners" not the T's. They are white right now and I want a black one.
-
How about some black banners?

Anytime...

Thanks. I have a slight case of OCD.

Thanks but for some reason I don't think it will keep up with your Nightshades.

I like the SD-1's. Accurate and efficient. I would recommend 1.25ft^3/sub for the 12's if you have the space.

The components in the front of the boat are running off channels 1 and 2. The 2 sets in the rear of the boat are running off channels 3 and 4. I did this so the owner would have a usable fader so he could control the volume of the front speakers without having to add an L-Pad. The front of the boat is a hang out area so this comes in handy.

The amps and crossovers are safe from water. They are in a sealed area under the rear hatch.

No. Everything is placed where it is for a reason. These are Squirrel cage fans and are blowing straight down the heat sink fins. The air comes out the blower not the top. If you look at the last picture on page one you will see a little vent on the side of the boat right beneath where the windshield ends. These fans pick up cool air from where the vent comes in and blows it down the fins of the amplifiers. You would be blown away if you could feel how much air these fans move. Kachina has built a lot of boats and they have never seen fans work like this before. This is the best place for fans on Sundown amps. Trust me...

Jacob is the Paparazzi. I thought I seen you outside my house last night.
