can they be used in a sealed box? if so do they have good sound quality? would one 10 beable to handle the power from a kicker zx1000.1 with a birthsheet of 1156w?

ive got a cheap pioneer system from wal mart.. my ? is can i buy a amp and sub from parts express to replace the sub that came with the wal mart system?

ive got a 02 blazer and will be installing 6.5" comp set up front and getting rid of the rear speakers, would there be anything wrong with mounting the x-overs in the rear speaker location?

pioneer deh-p400ub hu pioneer ts-c720prs comps 1- ss rl-i8 kicker 700.5 have 2 rolls of raamaat and mdf baffles goin in my 02 xtreme blazer also.

ended up getting some phoenix gold comps.. now im leaning towards getting a ssa icon 10 to run my zx1000.1 at 2 ohms giving the sub 1156w in a sealed box

thanks for the replies. i already have the zx1000.1 and was just gunna run it a 4ohms to a single rl-i10 but now i think ill run it at 2ohms to a single icon 10. what size box would u recommend? i listen to rock/metal

think since i got a zx1000.1 layin around i may just get 1 single 4 ohm sub to run off it. that will give it around 500w and if that aint enough i can alway buy another sub and run the amp at 2 ohms.

No, I believe they are intended to be used in an active setup. At least that's how I had planned to use them. The Polks have xovers. -fp what amp were u gunna use with them?

i listen to mostly rock/metal and need a budget comp set with good midbass.. doors will be deadened with raamaat and have an mdf baffle.. budget is around $150. any suggestion?
