Is my alternator sufficient for this setup?

I took a look at the sundown amp, but it's a little too expensive :/ do you have any other suggestions? my main concern was if the AQ 1200D had enough power to run the Fi well. The amp is 1200wrms at 1 Ohm, and the sub is 1000wrms. Is that what it actually needs to perform well, or do I need a little more power? u can get refurbished sundowns at db-r electronics for a good price -

oh... pretty much everyone that ive talked to said to go sealed or 28-32 for rock/ metal Try 30-35hz and you will be ok, regardless of how many videos he shows you it wont determine how it will respond and react in your vehicle. Every system is car and install dependent, you just have to make a compromise that is what car audio is all about. yeah cant really tell much from videos. its going in a blazer and ive heard they arent hard to get loud in so that shouldnt be a problem. thanks for the help guys, sorry about asking so many questions. just want to get this right the first time around

ive got the same amp and bought a set of ID ctx65cs from woofersect.com for $180. not hooked up yet but all the reviews ive seen said the IDs have good midbass..

awesome video.. gunna do any testing at around 28-30hz? since i listen to mostly rock/metal thats where i should tune to right?

just seen that fisher has icon/box combos. was thinking of trying to get a 10" icon and a 1.25cuft box tuned to 28hz. and a sundown sae 1200d. would the icon handle 1500w daily?

u have any links to his builds?

finally starting to piece together my system

you are going to loose A LOT of output i know, my dads entry level 10" kickers in a sealed box off of 250w ea has enough output so i think 2 8s ported off of 600ea should be enough.. going for more sound quality that spl.. also want to go with the same brand amps(sundown) and the IDQs cant hook up to 1 ohm.. -

may be a change in plans... thinking of selling my IDQs and kicker amp and getting 2 SA-8s tuned to 28-30hz and powered by a sundown sae 1200.. like the idea of 8s so i can show ppl wat they can do. no one around here has 8s
