Ok I was planning on strapping 2 saz 1500's to get around 3k watts out of the two. Around this time I was planning on using a full loaded Fi btl 18; but now I've decided I want to run a TC sounds LMS 5400 18. This is the probably being that the lms 5400 is a dual 2 sub which mean .5 ohm which is a NO NO for 2 saz 1500 strapped. Idk what to do. I've considered running 1 amp per VC but I know that if I don't have my setting right for both amps I could really mess some shit up lol. Should I just run 1 per VC or should I sell the amps and buy the Saz 3000? I know the easiest choice would be sell them for the 3k but I would rather run 2 amps then 1 amp. SHIT! lol

Ok now with the Q's you won't need the heat ring, its for you to add if your going with a sealed box and purchase the High QTS. It will say it when you check out. It says the Heat Ring has to go with the QTS, and the QTS is for people who want to run a sealed box. Since your running a ported box only thing you need is the "Cooling", and the "Spider". Reason I posted this is to give you a heads up and save you some money and preventing you from adding a feature thats not required. I plan on getting rid of my Fi Q 15bp to purchase two 12" Q's and found out all I need is the Cooling and Spider.

Hold on so you didn't like being beat by a guy with 2 subs to your 1??? Why not just get another Q and then see how things turn out? With the money your gonna pay for the btl (which loaded right now being that their backordered is $399). You could just get another Q (For $279) and add some more $$$ and get a second amp to power it. I know thats not what you said you wanted but just stating the fact. 2 12in alpines vs 1 12in Q is kinda like a boxer fighting another boxer but the other has a missing arm lol.

Ok I've been having trouble with my amp shutting off and on when I would have a song with deep bass or I would turn my bass remote up with a song with less bass. I knew it was an electrical issue with my battery so I got it recharged when the system wouldn't come on (This was after about 8 months of play). My system played fine no problem after the battery was charged. So I got in the next day and b4 i could turn my radio up (The radio was only at 6 at the time) the bass came on and then it cut off and never came on. So I checked the amp to see if the red protection light was on. It wasn't only the green light was on. So I figured it was the battery again but I question that theory because I had the system going for a while before I had to get the battery charged and now all of a sudden after one day of play with a recharged battery it wouldn't work. I took it to a shop and explained it to them and they checked everything. So the guy hooked up my amp and the red light came on when he tested it and he was like thats the problem its in protection. I told him that the light was never on when I checked it before I came; I was like wtf. So I hooked it back up in my car when I left and the protection light wasn't on like I had said. I was kinda skeptical of them saying that because they said the same thing about my sister oldschool autotek mean machine amp she took to them and basically got her to buy a cheap boss amp from them. Plus the fact that when the guys at the shop seen I had a sundown amp and a fi subwoofer they was like why you didn't purchase a known brand and I was giving them a insight on how good fi and sundown was. So my question after all that is does it sound like my amp is really in protection mode. Only reason I'm questioning it is the light doesn't come on while it's hooked up in my car but it did when they tested it in the shop. Even after the shop and I hooked it back up still no protection light. Thanks in advance to whom ever helps

Db-r who I purchased it from is talking $90 to rebuild it. I know my boy who I got to look at it after the shop said if they just replace those two they minds well replace all of them since the two will be newer then the others. He was sayin that with them being newer then the others the older ones would possible burn out one behind the other making a cycle of new vs. old. But $90 isn't bad, unlike my xbox 360 that just 3ringed yesterday and I barely play it. They talking $99.99 to fix it since I purchased it back when they were $600. I'm like damn all my electronic toyz fuckin up at the same time lol; no one believes in $50 dollars to fix shit anymore rotfl. So $90 for the amp and I'm just gonna buy a new 360 the hell with replacing it when I can add $100 and get a new one, a game, and the accessories.

Ok guys as I was telling jacob on my way to work yesterday my system was playing to my surprise, and it played the whole 30min trip to work. Then on my break it played, but on the way home when I got off I had no bass again. I'mma check over my electrical first then if it's not solved I'm going to send it to you jacob. Now I just gotta find where I put my warrenty paper

also another thing I forgot to add was after I got my battery recharged and my system stopped playin, I was at work on break with just the radio goin on about 15 or 16 vol maybe a week or 2 later and all of a sudden my system just came on randomly and started playing for about 3 minutes then it shut off again and went back to not playing.

ok I'm about to shoot an email to him before I have to get ready for work. Thanks all that helped; hopefully the issue can be found soon so I don't have to stress it anymore. I'll keep you guys posted on it just in case someone's able to pinpoint the problem

had it running at 1ohm, 2003 civic ex, yep stock electrical was about to do big3 the day I took it to the shop but after he told me that I was kinda bummed about it, It was slightly warm which was after about 10-15 minutes of play but before I got the battery recharged it was shutting off before it would even get the chance to warm up (like get in the car, turn the radio up and it would shut off for about 5 seconds and come back on)

ok I sent you a message on this early and you answered my ? on what your putting it in. What size wire do you plan on running cause like you said in the pm I'm running the same setup you want to run except it's in a civic. I'm running 4ga but I originally wanted to run 0ga which I have in my closet but the guy that hooked it up said he didn't have the tools to hook it up. With that being said I don't have a big 3 upgrade or battery upgrade and the lights only dim when the sub hits really low notes (headlights, dome lights) For the amp the sundown sae 1200 does great doesn't heat up at all and I listen to it loud at all times and it NEVER heats up. As far as which way it's being fired I'm firing it facing the trunk lid. I was going to fire it facing in the cabin but was told by a lot of friends including people on here that you will need to let the seat down so the sub isn't damaged. Reason I'm saying this is when you get your setup installed and you wonder why it's not moving any air just let your seat down. Well hope you enjoy which ever decision you make. If it was me I would say the sundown SAE since thats what I have and it performs well with no problems Like I said in the pm when I'm off work next time I'll shoot a video for you to see how the SAE performs so you can get a good idea

Ended up ordering the Sundown Sae 1200d last night now I just gotta wait until it gets here Next I gotta get my amp kit and I'll have it hooked up in about a week o yea for those that forgot I have the Fi Q 15 wit bp

I got the fi Q 15 myself and I was staying away from the hifonics. I was gonna run either the lanzar Optidrive 1400 or 2000 but I decided I'mma save money and just buy a refurbed sundown saz 1500. If your on a budget I'd search ebay for some lanzar optidrives. It was one guy that was letting the 1400's go for like 230 with free shipping refurbed, and 276 free shipping brand new.
