Sorry to hijack your thread Triple P, but I think we are in the same situation here. Nick, have you contacted the shipping company, any updates on the status or whereabout of the sub? I find it a coincidence that the guys who have ordered subs into Canada are experiencing the same familiar outcomes. Never have I heard of this happening before. Do you guys just not like us? I'm still curious to know the exact date you sent it out, surely you must have that recorded somewhere.. Please give me some kind of update.

DHL, I've heard very good things with a minimal brokerage fee and super fast shipping, and would prefer that if the conclusion is a lost package. However would choose FedEx over USPS or UPS. Seems to be fastest, easily tracked and mid-level fees out of the three. I would not mind paying for tracking 2nd go around. Lemme know how you make out. I also sent an e-mail. Thanks.

It's approaching 3 months for me. Something is not right. I need someway to find out with USPS where my item is, but with no tracking number or shipping invoice... It's been 3 weeks since it apparently cleared customs. I live 2 hours away from there, it takes at maximum 2 days for items to arrive once they are cleared. What are my options here?

I was hoping to have everything in on May long weekend. I'll keep you updated.
  6. I just got a response back from the company. The amps are rated at 13.5V!! I've ordered the TRX1500D and the TRX2.550.
  7. Well I currently have the Hifonics 1606D, but am considering getting something else all ready. No sub this week Triple P. Usually after stuff clears customs it's only 2-3 days for the item to arrive.

Mine was sent out USPS.. I expected my sub in no more than 4 weeks. It's been over 2 months all ready. Mine was the one which cleared customs on Friday, but I should have had it by now... I'll keep you posted. PS: I was never told about any alternate shipping when ordering, I went by what it said in the sticky, and thought that by going USPS it would save on brokerage fees.

    Canadian Customers

Still waiting since payment was sent April 11th. Apparently it cleared customs on Friday June 6th. I should have received it by now. What Province do you live in?
  11. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.c...20Interconnects For the price and knowing you'll never have to think about upgrading, I would get the Krystals.
  12. Good find! I could also do a Soundstream TRX-1500D: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=6813 Haven't seen any reviews but spec-wise it appears better than the PCA1500. Gotta find out if that 1500 rating is measured at 16v though.. Gonna e-mail company and report back..
  13. I just wanted to post the specs. Yeah see, if I were to get the Brutus 2006D, it's rated at 2000 but minus the 25% would bring me to 1500 anyways. Brutus 2600's are out of my price range. I'm really liking the SS PCA1500D. And that way I can get a matching SS PCA2.520 to power my front CDT's and be done!

    Too much power?

Thanks for your help guys. It was pretty confusing to follow I know, but I think I'm ready to order now, and just sell my old stuff. I am thinking of getting just a 2chan amp to power the fronts, and let the deck power the rears as audio-neon suggested. Am thinking this amp: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=6097 to go with these speakers: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5023 http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5435 I'll install the Hifonics 1606D that I have to power my 12" Fi BL, and see how it performs before I consider replacing it.

    Too much power?

Old system: Some cheap Sony deck Infinity Kappa 5.25" components (2007) - KAPPA50.7CS Infinity Kappa 6x9" 3 way coax (2007) - KAPPA693.7I Infinity 10" sub - KAPPA PERFECT 10DVQ MTX Thunder564 - 4 channel MTX Thunder421D I will replace everything and all ready have: Alpine 9885 12" Fi BL - Dual2, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily Hifonics ZXi 6406 Hifonics BXi 1606D I was going to use the 4 chan. Hifonics to power the new Kappa 2008 speakers since they are 2ohm, but just decided how much I hate my current kappa's so want to do something else. Wanted to get: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4630 and http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3078 For the speakers which are 4 ohm. However the Hifonics 6404 I don't think would do a good job doing all 4. less than 85watts a channel. What I could do is bridge the 6404 and 421 to power the speakers, but then I would be sending each channel over 300watts. Should I pick up two 2-chan amps instead? I was thinking about getting 2 Hifonics ZXi 6006. which would give me 150watts @ 4ohms at best per channel.

    Too much power?

Yeah I tried to provide as much info as possible. Basically, I have my current "old" system installed, and I all ready have the new parts to put in, but I decided to not get the new kappa speakers which would have worked fine with the 6404 amp, instead I'll be getting the CDT's (or just the fronts), but either 4 channel amp would either underpowered them if ran in 4chan mode or if I used both and bridged them they would provide 300 watts a channel, which I assume would not be good to do. Anyways, I think I need to sell some stuff off I just bought and re-do what I had planned. 85 watts/4 would be more than enough for a mid-bass/tweeter Even if the components are rated at 170?Would it still be OK, or could I bridge the amp to provide 300 a channel but control the gains? Or should I pick up an amp rated at say 200x2@4ohm Edit: I think I'll just get 2 Hifonics ZXi 6006 (2x150 @ 4ohms) to power these CDT Speakers: 6.5": http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4691 6x9: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5435 I'll stick with the 1606 amp for the sub, that can at least be replaced easily if I think I need the extra power once I finally here this system.

  18. Money was sent last month, Apr. 11th. for a 12" BL with a few options. Order is to Canada, I tried e-mailing but no replies, and it's been two weeks since. I would like to know the status of my order, how can I do that properly?

Where's my sub? (Money sent last month)

Could anyone (Hopefully someone from Canada) let me know how long it approximately took from payment to item received?

    Shipping to Canada

Hi guys, I have tried to contact Fi via e-mail a few times withing the last couple weeks, but no response. I would like to get a sub to Canada, and was wondering if it is possible to ship one out to Canada directly. The only options I see in checkout are UPS to the lower 48. I would prefer FedEx or USPS. It is for: 12" Fi.BL Dual2 Cooling ($40) Flatwind ($20) Daily Thanks.
