I think before you decide to spend 5+ grand on a sound system, let alone subwoofers only.... Get a new fkin car. People are going to do nothing but laugh at you when a rattle machine drives by them. A 91 civic? Step up your game..

I just got myself a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and i am a sound quality guy. I was originally looking at two 10's sealed to go under the front seats. But then I saw that JL has that thin line subwoofer. Has anyone seen or heard the 13TW5 by JL Audio? I saw that and I was like "whoa...". And based on sound quality. I need some recommendations for a head unit. I like Alpines line of touch screens but then I dont. They almost seem cheap to me. Is there another brand or specific item that anyone can suggest? And as of front stage I have heard JL speakers and I was impressed. Their price tho is almost unforgiving. Has anyone had good experience with any other company? Any input is greatly appreciated

I am stuck on the front stage. I have no experience on which brands dominate the SQ field. The only brand i have heard is JL, which to me is good. But i do believe that there might be a better underground brand that someone can recommend. That is my top priority right now.

kidd.... you have said the same thing about EVERY SINGLE SUB ON THIS SITE........... maw, ssd, on and on and on and on..... read your past post... chit is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! you even started a topic one time that was named " i have decided" haha. this kid is all about emotion. next week he will hear some RF P1's and say they were the best he's ever heard.

if i knew more i would tell you but i honestly dont. these are my first fi's let alone 18s. what info do you need? i got two btls with no amp and no box looking to put them in a gutted 98 crown vic x police car if they'll fit. i was using cheap amps and ghetto ass boxes for my last set up which was two older RF 15 inch punch's but nothing from that set up will really work for my new application. i know a bit about bass systems, but not that much. i have around 800 bucks and several sheets of 3/4'' and a few sheets of 1/2'' mdf. not looking to be made a fool of, i really just want to do this right. Dude. You bought 2 woofers without thinking first. Each of those BTL's are 2000 watts a peice. Your gonna need a LOT more than 800 dollars to get powerful enough amps. Not to mention electrical upgrades. And I almost forgot about that the space you have is not suitable for two 18 BTL's. You got too excited and bought on emotion and didnt think before spending your money. Your only gonna be able to use one of those subs and that too will be underpowered

I was thinking about getting this head unit. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Tell me what you guys think.

I see that the efficiency of that sub is 89.9. Its one of the higher numbers ive seen. Is that good? I want to run a single 15" arsenal off a Kicker zx750.1. Is this too much power? I hear that this line of woofers are very underrated. Should I be fine with 750 watts? I want to first put it in a 2.4 cube sealed box to see how it sounds then I want to put it in ported 4 tuned to 30 like AA recommends. Any input is very much appreciated.

Don't do it is all I gotta say

thanks for that great info chad. these diet and fat loss pills should never be used as the sole source to lose weight. Rather they are SUPPLEMENTS that when used in combination with a good nutrition program and exercise regime can increase effectiveness safely. ---------------- Now playing: Jedi Mind Tricks Feat. Planetary - [Violent By Design #08] I Against I I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but I wont take anything back from what i typed. 2 months ago i was 10% body fat and now I am 6%. And it is a lot harder to lose weight when you are not overweight. So when people talk about how they go on a diet and how great its going and then a few weeks later you see them eating a $hit load of $hit and you just know in your head that they gave up because it was too hard. I can think of 4 people right off the top of my head. So I know there are more people out there. And now hearing about some guy who thinks that diet pills are the easy solution. All i do is shake my head ...

This is just another shortcut that people run to because its too hard to stuff a rag in their mouth and go run. From past experience its easier to go after things straight up instead of thinking of what to google next for "Fastest Weight Loss Drug"
-
Don't take it. If it seems too good to be true......it is And also I might add...... If you spend time to find these shortcuts to reach your so called "goals" .... then your a bitch.

I know everyone here is trying to be nice and all, so I'm gonna be the first to say it. Dude. You talk about adding more audio equipment to up your dB's. But if I were you, I would sell my system and buy a new car. That van is gonna take a chit tomorrow and your gonna be all pissed because you won't be able to listen to your woofers. Get a new car. That way people don't laugh at rattling purple minivan pushing 139.9 No disrespect. Just lookin out for ya

I been looking around for head units and I haven't found the "perfect" one. I currently have an Alpine 9883 and I wouldn't really buy it again. I use my Ipod and I dont like the way to select music on the head unit. I was on the Sony Xplod site and this head unit looked pretty cool. MEX-BT5100. Has anyone had experience or worked with Sony head units? Or if anyone has a better choice let me know.

I covered my box in black suede and it looks TIGHT

Eating after 9 is bad if you are looking for weight loss. If you can workout earlier than its ok. But any type of nutritious food. Me personally I take a meal replacement drink which is around 150 calories and vitamins right after my workouts. No Micky D's. No matter how bad the craving is

I stand by the jump rope. Nothing else. Always.

What does creatine do....... It makes your muscles "bigger". Your heart is a muscle...... Think about it.

Wow. No one here is like me. I'm 5'7 127lbs and all I do is body workouts. Every weekday I jump rope, do sit ups, and either do pull ups or push ups. I switch day to day. I got a 6 pack and keeping it strong. I'm around 7% body fat and I think ill be around 3-4 in a month, max. I'm pretty excited for beach season.

How do ohms have an impact on the electrical system.? I know that if the woofer is wired to a lower ohm rating then there is less resistance. Does this mean that a 600 watt amp at 2 ohms is the same electrical strain as 1200 watt at 1 ohm? And. I have heard that a higher ohm rating results in "tighter" bass. I believe it is a myth but I want to ask the input of the users on this forum.

I'm not looking at doing anything to my front. Its stock but it sounds ok. On my next car I'm going all out and upgrading everything but for the car I have now, I just want a little bass to keep me going. I guess the AA Havoc. Fi Q. or the SSA Icon in a sealed box. I have room to go with 2 15's on anything. Why does the AA Havoc say the recommended sealed box spec as 1.8-lB. What does that mean?

I have been reading and I haven't found a post that is exactly what I'm looking for. I have just been introduced to all these different sub woofer lines that I have never heard or seen before. And I need some opinions from people who have had experience with any woofers. I'm looking for a single setup with no more than 1500 watts. I wont say that I want sound quality since everyone has a their own definition of quality. I am looking for a very deep bass. The kind that you feel. I don't like punchy bass. Very smooth transient response is what I look for the most. And most important is a very crisp sound. I don't know if any of these wants can all be achieved at the same time but I appreciate any input. I'm not looking to spend any more than $350 on the sub. But of course worst comes to worst I can spend a few more. I have a Rockfod Fosgate T10001bd which puts out 1000 watts at 1 ohm. I have around maybe 5 cubes to work with.

Is 1000 watts on 1 ohm too much for 2 yellowtops, big 3, and an 80 amp alternator?
