LOL I have a nice 4 pack of ratchet straps ready for when I do bassrace. Hopefully wrapping them through the door opening and over the roof will keep the sunroof somewhat at bay.

If I were to wall it off before installing the coilovers, the only alternative would be to remove the rear windshield and go about it that way. This is the current progress so far until the coilovers arrive. Here is the car New Trunk Floor to support the batteries and Amps battery Rack which will go on the smaller back piece of the trunk floor Carrying ropes will be removed prior to installation Thats it for right this second, tomorrow will be working on the dance floor. Thanks guys, It will be a slow ongoing process, but ill be taking my time and not cutting any corners to make a nice end result. Also need to thank my Sponsors, **** and SSA. Without you guys, this build wouldnt be possible. Bill, David, Melissa, Mark and Aaron, everything is much appreciated.

Wow, I must say I am very interested in this. Please shoot me an email to [email protected] Im interested in a 15" Xcon D1 tuned to 30hz, but with no terminal or speaker wire in the box. -
Do the big 3 and get a new AMG style starting battery and you should be fine.

For all of the disbelievers, Keep on hating. I have personally seem this car do this. Not quite a 151. But it was around 150.5 or so when I last saw her. It was at a US Audio event. We were standing right there when he did it. Crazy score man, and props to you for achieving this! Will you be at the US Audio 2x Event coming this Saturday? (April 18)

Well this summer I am planning on walling off my 2000 accord coupe. Im already sponsored by Diablo Audio Technologies so I will be running their amplifiers. (most likely the 2500.1s) I have been doing a lot of searching for woofers and came across these and something about them is just screaming my name. I was originally going to go with 4 15" Havocs since they get piss loud and sound good doing it, but didnt really have the power handling I was looking for. The XCONs seem to be the one. I was originally going to tune the Havocs to 30hz because they love the lows, and apparently the XCONs love the same tuning as well. I want a loud daily driver that will deliver on the low end. Im not really worried about the SPL score as long as these will do some damage on the low end. My main question about them is, How many amps should I run to them. I am torn between 2 **** 2500.1s, one to each pair, or 4 2500.1s one on each one brutalizing the chit out of them. Now these amps will do around 3400 rms a pop on full tilt. It would take full tilt out of one to power a pair to their RMS potential, which wouldnt be the best for the amp or the subs, which is why I was thinking 4 2500.1s would be best and just send a nice clean 2500 rms to each one. Last suggestion would be DATs Inferno 8.1 amp, It does an underrated 8000RMS, but is still in the testing phase whether or not it will be alright for Daily use. So guys, Please give me some info on what you all think. And lastly, what size total box would you suggest for all of them? Never messed with SSA subs before, but I heard they would probably like 3.5 cubes a pop which is a little more then the ICONs.

I thought it looked a little different from yesterday lol. Love the new look as well!

Yes! Im really loving these woofers at the moment. They are pretty much exactly what I have been looking for. And 2000 Rms should be fine. And guys, please understand this, I will not be throwing all of this abuse on a daily level. Im not gonna be slamming around 24/7 at around 2000-2500 rms a pop. That is mainly for Demo purposes, and competitions. -

Being sponsored isnt all about SPL. There are other factors into gaining a sponsorship. Showing what a product is capable of in other ways will get you there. Positive reinforcement and knowledge of a product, along with getting the name out there and enthusiasm towards showing what you can do for your sponsor plays a huge role. I compete in BassRace and dBdrag, but dont really focus on dBdrag, more of a bassracer. -

True, Im with you on that as well. But I know that these subs are very well build, and I think that they would be able to take 2500 rms for 30 seconds BR runs or 3 sec burps. -
That is fine. You dont need to throw an exuberant amount of power on them to hear them shine. Make the box a little bigger and you will enjoy the results.

Straight from his website... "i was supposed to have my proto-pics today.......and im sure i will - i wanted to wait till i had them before i finally said something. Ill give you what i have though..... i will not be running Fi anymore. I am switching to AA - but it goes a little deeper then that. It will be AA's biggest, baddest sub - and it will be the SMD edition. I am waiting for the specs to be done on it so there is some T/S (i think im supposed to get some) but i can tell you it has a 4" coil, power handling will be rated at 3500rms, not the standard basket (like my RE's and Fi's) but a different one. It should (of course) have tinsels IN the spiders (to avoid past issues), and be one hell of a beast. My own proto's should be in the Tahoe SOON and ill be making videos the DAY they show up. Availability, mid to the end of January. Hopefully sooner but that is how its looking at the moment. pics will be posted as soon as i get em! (here is what the dustcap is supposed to have on it, except the SMD part will be blue)" "not sure on pricing, its gonna be a little more then a BTL, but this sub is also a little more then a BTL (and weighs substantially more too). OK here is the pics, subject to a few tweeks between now and the day they ship.......the ACTUAL motor will be taller then this. Same width as the current new BTL motor (11 1/4") but double stacked with taller slugs and a rubber boot. " Looks to be a pretty nasty subwoofer. I believe this is the same basket that the LMS Ultra used as well but im not positive. OG post is http://www.*****.com/board/ind...showtopic=31127

For bigger orders I do believe you can actually, granted it is the right size. And I meant you can order them through the dealers that carry AA. I didnt mean call them up and order 1 or 2 subs.
-
Yes they are technically different companies but owned and operated by the same guys. Fi is more towards customization of speakers and AA is geared more towards dealers who cant customize woofers. And you can order directly from AA as well.
