okay, i cannot. Must have fell victim to the recent cleanup. Anyhow, imagine an enclosure with 3 woofers across the face and a 4"H x 12"W port firing out from under the middle woofer. This port terminated ~6" into the box, right under the motor of the woofer. The middle woofer excurted much more noticably then the left & rightmost woofers. We ended up inverting the middle one, to try to buy wave space. Now, this still applies to single woofer boxes, it was just much more apparent in the one that I made above. BTW - that one was trashed after the middle coil started smelling. Built a new one with two corner ports. -Nick

9:1 is about tuning variance. Under 9:1 is Good. Over 9:1 is bad. 15:1 (15"x1") is very bad... within reason. Bad = tuning frequency will change due to swirling / turbulence. I dont remember the long version of the expanation... it was posted a while ago by one of the big wigs from JL's tech area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That wedge box would be cool, if the port didnt open up right behind the moofer. That makes it much easier to unload the woofer. I've played with a coupld of boxes where the internal port mouth is right behind the motor, ranging from 4" wide to box wide (~26" iirc)... makes it MUCH easier for a woofer to unload. Lemne see if i can find a pic.

You do not want a liberty. Drives like tin can. Cramped front & rear seating, even for a midsize suv. Less cargo room then expected as well. $0.02. I havent driven a Vue, but I dont like the look. <shrug> MB? I dunno much about... looks alright, I'd imagine that it's well worth the money. I'm with steve, for the price, it seems like a steal. Trailblazer? Well, I've an '02. Ask away. Roomy, nice int. layout. Nice cargo area (Had a fugly 46wx32dx17h box back there). 5' + 'bed' with rear seats folded down. Umm, Steering is very car like, handing suffers from weight & ride height. Towes 2500lbs like nothing. Engine is torquey but smooth. Pulls very well, weight and all. Tranny is smooth as well, though can get confused when driving thruway aggressively. Electronic AWD/4WD is very impressive, though engagement is noticable. Brakes are a bit weak for me, but refer to height & weight. Overall, I'd definatly recommend it though. While you're in the price range, I'll suggest a Grand Cherokee. I test drove a couple of '04s. Not as roomy of an interior as the TB, but not bad. Much more of a cockpit feel up front... rear seats/legroom was alright (but less the TB). Cargo was alright as well, I didnt like that the full sized spare was stored IN the cargo area, under false floor... Only cause thats usable utilitarian space for me. The 4.7 drives very well, smooth, there when you want it. The tranny left a little to be desired, but if shes not gonna get on it, then no worries. Ummm, so, yea. -Nick

yes, so long as you take care. Like painting, take ALOT of time to wrap, secure, cover, etc... anything that shouldnt be drenched. I.e.-injectors, harness connections, and the like. Then, take care in where you point the hose. Usually a slow flow with a good medium bristle brush will work out nicely. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> eeek, i dunno what all i would need to cover i've vacuumed it but in a couple spots there is just sludge looking crap that i want to get off <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ANYTHING Electrical. You could be haphazard with it... but that MIGHT lead to chasing down electrical gremlins later. Just a couple of rolls of saran wrap and good tape will do yah.
