    10 guage wire

because of the higher voltage, there will be less amperage running through those wires.... You barely need 12ga. Unless You are going to start burping it, You're fine with 12 or even 14 ga. -Nick

    Fiberglass & resin

To tell You the truth, mat < < < cloth. You can get decent weight cloth most anywhere (Hardware stores, auto stores, Marine shops). I would suggest getting 'good' polyester resin & MEKP though... the cheap ass Bondo brand stuff @ Home Depot <<< Decent Polyester resin from a Marin store or online store. Epoxy Resin > Polyester resin as well. Much better to work with and ends up just as hard. USComposites.com has become my friend. -Nick

    Which amps.....

baah, SM 12 is basically as bad as street C. You try to go to SS, You had better have a LARGE line of credit somewhere. and Noah's right, the goliath is not cheap, even with a hookup. The hookups are slim as yet considering they've only had them for a month now, and are still playing them damned selves! LoL Don't bother calling John either, I talked to him a few days ago. Street A, B, SM 1-2, some SS & some Ext classes sponsorship slots are all taken. But at least he pointed me to the Team hangout... looking for leftover colossuses! -Nick

So what class would i be in

i'd be in the street max 1-2 also wouldn't i? 2-15's...but my box extends past the cargo area <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If Your box is above the window line (lowest point of driver window frame) then yes. If Your box extends forward past the OEM cargo area, then yes. If You could keep it in the cargo area and below the window line, You'd be looking @ Street C. Current top is 158.x (iirc)

    Welcome to the IHoP

spent two hours at the dealers today.... she test drove two escapes, an explorer, and a grand cherokee. She loves the excape XLT. so be it. too bad they only wanna give me 12k for the trailblazer. got it up to 13k. I still laughed. told them to have a nice night.

    Welcome to the IHoP

try explaining that to the mass public though... no one gets it.
  16. Nikuk

So what class would i be in

db drag would put You in Street max 1-2. this is a wall class where the current Top is 160.x. You are over the max for a street class (where You woulds want to be) because street C limits You to 1-18", 2-15"s, etc.

    Which amps.....

I dont know chit about your setup or what You need, so I'm not suggesting anything. Just pointing out what's doing well in street classes right now.
  22. Nikuk

    Which amps.....

there is no best amp available.
  23. Nikuk

    Which amps.....

I'm not talking about ratings, I'm talking about which amps are louder to the sensor. For example: Wattage ratigs are not the most important thing when it come's to competition. You HAVE to consider the dampening factor, THD, et al.
