hey i currently have a single 10" ssd stock options running off a alpine pdx-1000. what would the difference be between this ssd and a bl off 1k. i like my ssd but was curious about swapping for a bl. i listen to rap/hip hop

really?? because at times i can get the sub pretty warm and stinky. this is when i beat the hell out of it. whats the deal with the pdx amps? i have it because i have a standard cab truck. -
well what are your bass goals? with 1400 watts you could do any of the 3 just because you have 1400 wrms doesnt mean you have to use it all. leave your self some headroom. i have a ssd and its very nice gets loud and sound pretty gd. i dont have experince with the q or bl but the q is a sq sub and the bl is a mini version of the btl. if you want it as loud as possible go with the bl 12 . you dont have to ad the options if money is an issue, you could grab a stock bl . my ssd is stock and i run a alpine pdx1000 and it gets down rite nasty in my truck. im interested in getting a stock bl myself.

i have it all installed and will post up pics soon. its tuned around 35hz. i had it at 32 33 34hz the lows were killer at 33 . 35 seems to be an all around good tune. Im using a 3" aero and it has some shuffling port noise. if i can figure out a design to use a 4" aero i bet i can get it a lil louder , problem is a 4" aero in 1 cube needs to be really long and doesnt fit in my box.

recone . you can try to jb weld it or somthing but good luck

This subwoofer is one badass lil puppy. its built like a tank , im still in shock that this is there bottom of the barrel driver. i cant wait to get my enclosure built going to be in a cube ported to 32 hz single aeroport off 800 watts. such a lil beast.

well everything is already installed in my ride but ill do a lil build log on the box and pics of it installed

not much room left in there for amps or anything. not bad of an idea tho. i had a single 12" hdc3 off 2k in a ported center console , it was pretty impressive.

thats a very nice box for your first time. good job man

i will be using a single ten in my truck and i want it as loud as possible, i will be using 1500 watts which line will perform the best??
-
what do you think of a 12 ssd or q sealed on 1k rms. looking for good sq and rather loud bass
-
Mutually exclusive goals... basically i just wanna make sure a q sealed will have decent output . its going in a 1.3 downfire 5 inches off floor in a reg cab center console box. just want more output than my m class 10 in a .5 sealed on 250 watts behind seat enclosure
-
i was thinking going with the fi recommended 1.1 1.2
-
i am going to be running a memphis amp 1100 @ 1 ohm . its going in a downfire center console in a reg cab silverado . im thinking a ported 10 or a sealed 12. i have around 2 cubes to work with . im looking for a good overall response. what do you think?
-
how many cubes would you put a q 12 in sealed?
