Some months later I find some one selling a battery... a XS power D5100... well the person was Grayta lucky we both live close together lol. here is the FUN install of it I did this very day.... The battery it self At this point I am thinking to my self.... FUCK how am I going to get it to work since the posts are on the wrong side.. So this is what I used and here is what I came up with and it works car starts fine and runs good. Just used a aluminum bar cut the negative post to fit and bent it so I could connect it to the car.. no they would not move the wire is very short and I didn't want to cut it because of warrantee on the car. Now for the positive I had to cut 2 pieces bolt them together and bend the second one so it would fit the terminal. Needless to say it took me 3hr to compleat this task and only cost $30.00 in material and tools to do the job.

So some time went by and I was looking for Audio comps in MD and finally found one. So after a month of breaking in the sub and slight tuning at the show here is my score.
-
So now having the amp and sub all I needed was a box. I had a member of another form help me design one and here are the specs 2.6 cubic feet tuned to 36hz. 1 peace of 3/4 MDF cut in half My father in law helping me cutting since I have never used a table saw before lol All the pieces cut starting to put this beast together that's all the pic's I have of the box. it is still not done yet I need to rino line the outside but its playing.

So for a wile I was deciding on a amp to get. Was going to be eather a SQ1200 or the RF prime 1200d.. well due to the great deal I got on the RF I had to chose that.

I ran it like that for some time and then said I want MORE!!!!! so I picked up this... Soundqubed HDC3 12 Duel 2 Ohms. I was going to run this off the SS2k but got thinking 2krms off a stock alt for my little car may be a bit to much
-
Not to long after this install I found that my fuse holder was broken so I bough a new one and wile I was doing that I got 4awg wire and mounted my soundstream TX1-2000d and ran it at 4ohms to the 2 JL's
-
Both are good but up to me I would go with the fi. That or soundqubed hdc3.
-
I love jl but I would not get the w7 cost way to pucking much. If you can get one for 350 buy it and sell it for more (IMO) I have heard of a guy using a 2 AA subs for IB
-
Well compared to the sdc 2.0's that sub is so much better( and this is coming from a guy who loves aq lol got a hdc3 12 my self)
-
I listen to the same music( but I have a hdc3 12 on 1.2k) and I was able to do a 140.2 sealed on the dash with TL. Now what I do to get the good sq out of my sub is turn down the remote nob when that style of music comes on. For demos full tilt like every other person. For me driving listening to alice in chains Metallica and stuff I'm only 1/4 turned up on my knob. That's what I do and it is loud enough to here it but does not overpower and sounds great.

I would not run .5 daily unless your electrical is great. run 2k at 2ohms off of 1 amp -

With dual fours you can't do .5 ohms. Run a class D mono at 2k or 2.5k @1 ohm.Sorry I am wrong but 2k @ 2 ohms is cheaper With duel 4's he can run at .5 ohms. 4ohm+4ohm=2ohm x4. 2ohm+2ohm=1ohm.x2 then 1ohm+1ohm=.5ohm. So yes with 4 duel4 subs you can wire at .5ohms. -
Jl (cost to much for me now my old 10w1v2's where the first subs I bought in a jl box) Rockford fosgate Alpine (h/u) Audio que/soundqubed (love my hdc3 12) Crescendo Dd(to much money but good products) DAD

I have heard some good things about the Soundstream Reference Amps never used one only used a Soundstream Tx1.2000d and only ran it at 4ohms so about 750 rms and it worked great. -
Glad to see that your voltage got back up man. Make sure the gf closes those doors all the way lol. And after this weekend we need to meet up again so I can give you a demo if you would like
-
I live in southern Md. I'm running 1 soundqubed hdc3 off 1200rms for now. Went to my first comp last weekend and met grayta there(went to hs with him) and found a lot of cool systems there. I'm also on smd forum under same name. So sup people and keep dumping

I would say the same look at audioque or soundqubed as there known by now. Also look at sonic electronix.com I just got a Rockford fosgate r1200-d from there for like 230 shipped -
A guy I went to school with uses this. I am also a member of the SMD forum so I thought a good idea to branch out some and see another sight as well
