amp going into protect

well if your refering to the gains setting it has not done that for the month and half i had it set like that. And if so then how would i go about setting the remote gain to the amps gain? the amps are not sending a clipped signal i know that for sure. I checked that for hours every day on all kinda differant music.i had to redue a grond due to the screw comming lose a few days ago, after that it was fine, but now again it does it. -

there dual 2 ohm BTLs wired to 2ohms so each amp is at 1ohm load bass boost is like a little less then a quater up like 15-20% gain on the amp is at full and the remote gain is at 25% -
nice

just want opinions what do most of you guys use? I have them wired with 12 guage right now. Was wondering if it would really make any differance if i used 10 or 8 guage or would the 12 be fine?
-
yea theres a local shop here that sells it for $1 a foot so im gonna go hit them up tomarrow
-
i think i might just upgrade it 2 8 guage
-

my bad it took me so long to answer this haha. Have not looked at this in a few weeks. $$ is really no issuse. I will spend what ever is needed to get the best setup. Right now i have 4 small 200watt 2 channel amps that put out max power at 4ohms 100wattx2 i wont be powering anything off of the headunit. Im putting it in a 2000 dodge caravan so i have pretty much a crap load of space. Im looking for a good set of 6x9 3ways or 5ways at least 4 prob gonna put in 8 of them. Good tweets i have 4 kicker 1/2" right now but looking to upgrade. And i need either 2 or 4 good 5 1/4" 3ways for the dash basicly im just trying to figure out what brands would be good to go with i heard MB quartz was good as well as focal and soundstreem. Im just trying to figure out what other people think would be good that they have personaly heard brand wise for SQ componet setups. Im trying to get something that can compeat with my 2 BTL 18"s so i can actully hear the music over the bass lol. Yay, I get to play bad guy. You aren't going to get a "sq set up" that will compete with your BTL's period. Since you said SQ, you are going to want Large midbass, efficient mid-range and horn-tweeters. The idea behind having the large mid-bass is that you can set your low pass on your subs really low for daily. Basically making your subs cover the sub 40hz range only. The BTL's are still loud, so you are going to have to use the headunit or the gain itself to turn them down some. My suggestion since cost isn't an object is Hybrid Audio Legatia L8 and L4 and Image Dynamics horn tweets. The L8's would go in your doors, feeding each L8 200 watts would be a good place to start. The L4's would go in the kicks and you are going to want to find an experienced horn installer to install and tune your horns. You will only need ~17 watts per horn. haha yeah i kinda figured that the btls would drown out pretty much any kind of frontstage but worth a shot i would still like it to be louder tho

call or go to ohio gens web page that is if you find that you need a new alt there said to be one of the best H/O alt companys from what i heard and they do have awsome coustomer service i have talked to them a few times on the phone and theres allways someone there to pick up the phone unlike some companys like ireggi or EA ohio gen also has some pretty decent prices to go with the good CS

that sucks if thats what it is, but seeing as more then one of your batts is not fully or near fully charged that sounds like the problem. You might have 3 bad batts event tho thats highly unlikely for all of them to go bad at the same time.
-
hehe i was just taking a guess, because it sounded like jegs but yeah jegs best place to get powermaster imo i have searched quite a few places
-
thats what im saying shizzon is talking bout jegs.com for the powermaster batts. Free same day shipping on all orders over $250. $11-$12 handling fee. Thats where i got my batts from and i have 2 d3100 and a d1200 right now in the rear. There def some beefy ass batts get the job done quite well, and im running them on stock alt 90amps. Volts stay above 13.4 event playing hard for a wile and thats running 2 SAZ-3000D and 4 other smaller 200watt amps. I would say with your current alt 200amps if i remember correctly and batts, 1 d3100 would set you stright

jegs.com for powermasters and theres no need for a isolater
