hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows (or heard) of soundstream making good amps. im debating buying either a soundstream pca2000d or a kicker zx1500 amp. they both push 1500rms when wired at 2 ohms. naturally i would just go for the kicker because no one seems to have anything bad to say about them and are under rated, i just dont like the fact that the kicker can't wire down to one ohm if i decide i want more power. please lemme know if you heard anything bad or good about soundstream...thx-phil

sick! i guess i'll go with the soundstream over the kicker since it wires to one ohm and people who tried it say its good stuff. one things for sure about soundstream, they make some sexy looking products. i hope the reliability stays sexy too... -
you just gotta log on to your paypal, go to the send funds page. send the total amount of money your sub is going to cost +shipping (in american dollars) to [email protected]. don't forget to include your subwoofer specs and options in the "details" area (so they know what to build. you should receive a confirmation from their paypal not too long after, that they accepted your funds. then wait a week or two and some myterious man in an outfit will come to your doorstep with a box. accept this box and sign his paper. -phil

hey all. i want as big of a sub as possible but the only problem is that i will have only 16.5" of height in my trunk. thats means if i get a bl 15 my sub will be very close to touching the wood (height wise) in my subwoofer encloser. is it bad if the sub doesnt have a lot of clearance height wise in its encloser or does that only apply sideways in corelation to the port. just wondering if i should be ok soundwise with a tight box or will i sacrifise sound quality by doing this and just stick to getting a bl12. thx -phil

im wondering if maybe the old btl will still be available (with its old magnets and all) through options or will it be totally replaced by the new one? also wondering about the new weight compared to the old btl.

sup guy! my friend hooked me up real good with an mtx te4001d amp which has 2200rms at 2 ohs. theres just one problem. i'm a cheap bastard.1) i would first like to know if i should get a bl or btl12 with this amount of power. 2) i also would like to know if i will get away with running 2200 watts with just doing "the big 3" and at most buying one of them "marine batteries" (i have a 80 amp alt). i would like to avoid buying a high powered alternator if its possible. let me know what you guys think!

double that. how much is shipping to montreal canada for a fully loaded bl 12. i tried emailing a couple times but it seems you guys are pretty busy from the looks of it. i tried to order anyways not caring how much shipping would be but your site does'nt let me select canada as a shipping location in your shipping fill out sheet. i was wondering if i should fill out my full adress and postal code in the street adress lines then just select any random state. please email me at [email protected]

do i have to upgrade or buy another battery if i get a h/o alt?
-
i hear what ya'll are saying...its not a question of if my system will handle it (it will), its more of a question of when will my alt go (it will). anyone know of any site that sells high out put alts for not too expensive? i've also considered trying to retrofit a second stock alt into my car system, has anyone every heard of this being done?
-
how many watts can a bl handle anyways? cause 2000watts is the max i plan to go, so i would probably be better off getting a bl if you're saying you run 2000 watts daily on a bl
-
ok ok but assuming i dont blast my system all the time and just keep its full power to show off a couple good songs, my plan should work right?
-
im just wondering how you plan to fit a sub that big in a trunk that is so small and only 16 inches high, when your sub box is going to have to be 5-10 cubic feet big and need like 2 layers of wood.

hey guys i need you're help! im planning on buying a fully loaded bl 15(dual 2 ohm). i hear the sub can be pushed to 2000watts no problem but im pretty new to this whole sub thing so i'de like to have the sub running at around 1500watts. i was hoping you guys could help list me a couple good quality amps that won't cost me an arm and a leg (im a student). my budget is around 350$. at first i was leaning towards the hifonics bxi1606d but i heard they put their specs a little too high, so now im looking into kenwood(KAC-9103D), power accoustik(psi 2000d), and refurb kicker(ZX1500.1) amps which all fall near my budget. i know some of the amps i named seem a little high for the bl but the person who is installing the sub for me told me to go higher with the amp and he would tune it for me to get the max out of the sub. i was wondering if you guys could help me by either suggesting a good amp for the sub im getting or at least a brand that is good quality (and of course not too expensive!). thx - Phil Ps:i was wondering if mtx was a good brand ,cause i could get hookups on those.

im looking into buying a fi sub. my budget tells me i should buy the bl, but every time i see one of your videos on youtube theres a little voice in the back of my head saying "GO FOR THE BTL"...great vid! -
hey all im really sold on getting a bl 15 for my car. i was just wondering how much it will cost to get it shipped to montreal since it states on the fi site that shipping only free in the states. im also wondering if the flatwind coil is good to get if i plan to use the sub daily (will it give much better sound).
-
thanks guys, i guess ill opt for the flatwind coil then if it`ll help cool the sub and possibly make it last longer. i was also wondering if there was a massive difference in bass between the btl and bl sub, cause if there is i wouldnt mind too much paying an extra hundred bucks or so if the difference is enormis. also what would be the ideal number of watts to run a bl or a btl for everyday use. most of all i would like to know how much fi charges to ship outside of the u.s.!!! thanks guys
