Just got back from Sundown HQ today... If you want a 3000 at this super deal you might want to hurry.

After Jake is happy with the proto, it will go into production. An yes there will most likely be a pre-sale.

You should be fine, just watch your excursion. -
The last time we were up there I actually saw Jacob work, Brandon on the other hand.... haha thanks gary ill remember that when you need a custom sub built or need to test some stuff want an amp tested lol I'll come up there and test my own amp. LOL I do want you to show me how you assemble some subs.

New for 750 while they last.

the standard response.... It's in the works. Edit: When there is more actual demand.

The standard answer is "It's in the works." Edit: Think about it this way, you'll know what Jacob is working on by watching what he posts. Example... the last things he posted about was the trade-in program, the large amount of 18's and the special on the Sae amps. Then again, I am not the Sundown PR person but I'll see what I can find out when Derrick and I head up there Thursday.

Competition Soundoff Columbia, SC Feb 7th
banginAltima replied to Derrick824's topic in Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events
I'll be there. Gonna try for a 143. -
??? The Dodge p/u has two 1500's in it and the Magnum has one 1500 in it. If you are asking about Derrick, he is running the Sundown 2000.

A must.... not really. It all depends on with you are going to do though. Edit: Some how it sent the message to quick... If you are going to burp it, you will probably be fine with the factory alt. provided you have enough batteries. Although, you will have to charge them with a battery charger like I do. If you are going to demo a lot, then yes an alt. would be something you need to look into. If you are trying to run below 1 ohm, don't even think about it. Unless you have a large amount of batteries. If you are resting at 1 ohm, you may see raise up to 3 ohm. A factory alt. will get you by, again provided you have the battery power.

I built this box for a pair of DC Audio LV4 12's, so it's a little bigger than reccomended. Port area ratio is just under 16in^2 per cube. I have a bunch of 4" and 6" Precision Ports that have been collecting dust for a long time. I'm thinking of doing a new box right at 3ft^3 for the Nightshades that will utilize swapable "aeroports" for daily and competition. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY You are a smart man, awesome. Post up some build pic when you start.

I had two 3 inch aero ports on two 10's (basically the same as one 4 inch) and it didn't seem like enough port to me. You have almost the same cone area as two 12's. Since you posted this in the SPL area I would recommend two four inch ports. If you are asking more for SQ I would say you are fine with one.

Sub up and side ported. Like this..... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=24776

Help! Wiring 2 Sundown SAZ-3000s to 2 subs
banginAltima replied to AcidikBass20's topic in Sundown Audio
I know about the 2 pos and 2 neg. my question is which set do I hook them to, the right or left? Subs are dual VC 4 ohm Earthquake DBXi-12d. It doesn't matter which set you hook them to. You can hook one coil to one set on the amp and the other coil to the other set. Do that for each sub/amp. But I think you would be better off strapping the amps so you do have to gain match both of the amps. What is the rms rating on those subs? -
Help! Wiring 2 Sundown SAZ-3000s to 2 subs
banginAltima replied to AcidikBass20's topic in Sundown Audio
The Sundown 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000 are mono block amps (Mono = 1, 1 channel that is). There are two connections (2 pos and 2 neg) on the amp to make it easier to hook up multiple subs. What subs do you have? What ohm coils?
