It has been done. Brantley Waites Ford Econoline 12 Stroker 15's, Ed Eason Dodge don't remember what he had, The old Cerwin Vega Econoline 12 18's, Bobby Riley I think it was a Chevy van. If my memory serves me right, all of these vans were capable of over 170 db. They all have been retired for some time now. Brantley was the first person to ever do a 160 db's, at a show.

Dave, I put a muffler on it. One of those import type, you should hear it. It sounds like a Honda on steroids. Thanks Dave, its getting there.
-
Thanks Dave. I'm planning on coming to your show next weekend.

Did some more testing. I finally tested with the van running. The exhaust fumes are deadly. Starting voltage was at 14.5-14.6 dropping to 13.8-13.9 not bad.

Your gonna send me 2 in an 18" d1 for me to test, right?

Did some more testing.

Y splitter will be fine. In my vehicle strapped was louder. You will just have to test to see which way will work best for your application.

Hmmm. 4 of these or 8 1500's, Hmmm. Dual power and ground inputs? Send me one to test.

This was at .25 STRAPPED. I DO NOT recomend this. As I will not run them that low again.

Yes I compete in Meca X1 class. The reason for this is the sensor placement is similar to db Drag. This vehicle is not an extreme build as far as the cab goes. Stock dash,headliner,doorpanels,glass.floor.

At .25 strapped box was to .5-.6, I had to roll the volume slowly. The weird thing is only the master amp would protect, maybe that is normal but I figured since they were strapped both would protect. These amps are impressive. I have dealt with alot of different amps in my time, yeah I'm old school, I had the first generation HCCA 225 when they first came out.

I did get to do some more testing. And I found out that they do not like .25 strapped. I did manage to get about 3-5 full volume burps without protection.

Here you go Walt.

First burp, right out of the box.
