Down to the second sounds a little overboard, and a lota ridiculous. Hmm, yeah if the work place provided a good work environment in the first place, then a union that has to fight for that stuff, wouldn tbe needed, makes sense. I guess there will always be a group of people to fight everything.

So, if you decided to get out of the union right now (if you can) and went back to work, the company can basically fire you on the spot? and you have no back-up. That sucks a lot. So, its basically, wait out the strike, or find a new job?

The only 2 things i have ever bought from blaunkpunt was a head unit and a pair of 6x9s back in high school. They were decent, Never had a problem with them. The head unit didnt have a lot of features if I remember, but it was good, had enough features and never failed on me, and the 6x9s were pretty loud and sounded ok. So I cant really say anything bad about them.

See, what you just said makes what my roomate's father said make more sense. He really hates the union. And he also says, just like you said, that they ask for things that they dont need or deserve....constantly. Which is why he made the work ethic comment.

From what I have been reading, his company went on strike a while back. And just a few pages ago said something about there being no end in sight. It started making me wonder more, If the company doesnt care and is still making money what is the eccentive of even negotiating with the workers right now. Which is why it made sense that they made the stipulation they would negotiate without a mediator, so they could screw the workers possibly, thats where I start not to understand what goes on. Contracts and all that.

Or if anybody has an opinion about unions.

SS, steve, In your opinion is the union a good thing? I have been trying to understand all of it but havent got it yet. I have also been talking to my roomate's father. His father says "the union has ruined the work ethic of america." thats what he believes. I have no opinion, I'm just trying to understand how it all works.

Yes definitely, I didnt even think we were going to have internet like this out here. Oh and that sounds like a plan. I wanna go to a few car shows that summer for sure too. We should have our east coast meet at one.
