  1. if an amp worked why not buy/make a portable amp. i'm not really thinking this through but slap a 9v to something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HIFI-2-0-Mini-Digital-Audio-Power-Amplifier-Module-2x10W-Class-D-AMP-DIY-12V-DC-/350779200719?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D330918230861%26ps%3D54

    Best 10s for me?

all of that will become clear once you get some accurate measurements via the method explained above. mock up both a the largest single enlcosure that will fit and the largest pair of enclosure that fit. i could image several scenarios where either option could win out. in general it should be obvious that single enclosure will have more internal volume then two separate enclosures that occupy the same space in the vehicle.

personally i've dont like running a lpf so high. start at about 80 hz and go up and down until you find the best setting. if you've already done this and 150 is best for you then thats perfectly fine. just want to confirm that you're not arbitrarily selecting settings.

as mentioned above, those subs should be able to handle that power just fine, obviously you've got the settings fucked up. my other observations is that the port area looks small to me. 3" ports right? i don't have time to look up specs and calculate it right now. personally, i would spend your budget on building a fiberglass enclosure to maximize the available space. the equipment isn't the problem, its your install.

none of those will increase output significantly. even doubling power would barely be noticeable increasing the enclosure volume could improve low end response but a slight increase in power (100 watts) won't be noticeable.

when you said mustang vert you mean convertible? how did you set the gains? can fit larger enclosure/ larger subs? i very much doubt that you'll make any gains with new equipment in the same install. but i have a feeling you could make some improvements with the current woofers by improving the install. for example, moving the sub enclosure around (typically close to the trunk lid is best). another idea would be to lay the rear seats down if they have a solid back.

2 of the 4's.Add a line driver and you are still ahead. line driver on the input or output side? tablet -> linedriver? -> minidsp's -> amps

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

its seems soundstream/ppi got the guys from minidsp to make them a processor (i believe the two units are identical). http://www.precisionpower.com/html-version/manuals/DEQ-8-manual.pdf some rep mentioned they're working on android control via wifi dongle, might be ready by the end of summer. $500 isn't terrible, but i think i'm still planning to pick up a pair of minidsp 2x4 units for half that. ...and deal with the lower output voltage. or 2x8...

Considering going active would like advice.

having someone else install the processor and tune the system seems kind of pointless.

all of these would have to be tested by the user, not recommended over the interwebs..

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

that aint no shit... stewie was throwing up for some un known reason .. i changed his food, changed his drinking water, elevated his feeding bowl .. did everything i could think or read. so i took him to the vet. they insisted on taking xrays , so they had to put him to sleep for them, a shit ton of money later, they had no explanation or idea, other then i need to boil him chicken and rice every day .... FUCK THAT whats wrong with my dog!... no idea so a months worth or science diet can food assholes. and he was still throwing up.. it went away after a month or so after the vet,. then he caught kennel cough from the dog park. i toldem your gonna have to sit that out pal. my parent's dog has a similar problem and they're not sure what the deal is. we thought it was just a briar stuck in his throat but that was only the cause of puking once or twice. he's eating chicken and plain noodles now and it seems to have worked. so maybe it was just acid reflux or something..
